AmaderGaan.com was an online music portal of Bangladesh. AmaderGaan also was the only legal online music shop of Bangladesh. History AmaderGaan was founded by Faysal Islam on 31 July 2002. Safwan Khan joined later that year. Initially a website was conceived that would be a meeting place for discussing and sharing music. It Provided free Bengali mp3 for a long time as there was no proper legal system in place back then. In following years, many musicians and music lovers joined the community such as veteran musicians like Maqsoodul Haque (Mac), formerly of Feedback and currently with In Dhaka and musicians from Rockstrata, Cryptic Fate, Arbovirus, The Watson Brothers, Zefyr, RaaGa, and Artcell. With the assistance of Mac, amaderGaan took on a major jump from the virtual to the real world in 2004 with the arranging of a charity concert for Abdur Rahman Boyati, an aging folk musician famous for singing in the style of bauls and boyatis. Feedback is a Bangladeshi rock band, formed in the month of October 1977 in Dhaka by keyboardist Foad Nasser Babu. Multiple lineup changes have taken place in membership since 1976. They have released seven studio albums and have also appeared in some compilations. History Their first appearance was in The Hotel Inter-continental (now the Sheraton), Dhaka, on 11 October 1976. Their first recorded song was "Aye Din Chiro Din Robey" in 1980. After joining of Labu Rahman with Feedback in 1987, they started concerts out of the hotels. Cryptic Fate
Cryptic Fate is a Bangladeshi heavy metal band formed in 1993 in Dhaka. They are one of the pioneers of Bangladeshi metal music. Since 1993, they have released four studio albums and several singles in mixed albums. The original lineup consists of singer Iresh Zaker, guitarists K. Sarfaraz Latifullah and Waheduzzaman Khan, bassist Shakib Chowdhury, drummer Farshed Mahmud. Although, they started out as a heavy metal band, they became Progressive Metal in their second album. Arbovirus (band)
Arbovirus is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in 2001 in Dhaka. They have released three Studio Albums, one EP, and twelve singles through various mixed albums. History Formation and early years (2001-2005) Suharto formed the band with Ranjan in 2001. The line up consisted of Suharto and Ranjan on guitars, Shobhon on vocal, Himel on drums. Bassist Salek from Reborn played as a guest member. Around mid-2003, Ishtiaq Jishan, and Farhan Tanim joined as a bassist, and drummer respectively. Artcell is a Bangladeshi progressive metal band formed in October 1999 by vocalist and riff guitarist George Lincoln D'Costa, lead guitarist Ershad Zaman, bassist Saef Al Nazi Cézanne and drummer Kazi Sazzadul Asheqeen Shaju.
