Am Butzweilerhof (KVB)
Sparkasse Am Butzweilerhof is a terminus station on the Cologne Stadtbahn line 5, located in the Cologne district of Ossendorf. The station lies on Von-Hünefeld-Straße, the center of a large media and business park of ''Coloneum'', RTL Television and NetCologne. Station and the entire neighborhood is named after the former Cologne Butzweilerhof Airport. It was opened on 12. December 2010 and consists of one island platform with two rail tracks. Cologne Stadtbahn
The Cologne Stadtbahn is a light rail system in the German city of Cologne, including several surrounding cities of the Cologne Bonn Region (Bergisch Gladbach, Bonn, Bornheim, Brühl, Frechen, Hürth, Leverkusen-Schlebusch, Wesseling). The term ''Stadtbahn'' denotes a system that encompasses elements of trams as well as an underground railway network (''U-Bahn'') and interurban rail, even including three lines that are licensed as heavy rail and used by freight trains as well as Stadtbahn vehicles. Two of these lines connect the Cologne Stadtbahn to the Bonn Stadtbahn. These lines (16 and 18) are jointly operated by both cities' transport authorities, resulting in both systems and the lines connecting them sometimes collectively referred to as ''Stadtbahn Rhein-Sieg''. Cologne Butzweilerhof Airport
The Butzweilerhof was the civil airport of Cologne. It was established as a training airfield in 1912 and saw airline service from 1922 until the 1950s. It was replaced by the Cologne Bonn Airport. The airport buildings from 1935-36 are listed monuments and a rare example of airport architecture from the Interwar Period. From 1951 to 1967 it was operated by the Royal Air Force as RAF Butzweilerhof.
