Always Have, Always Will (Ace Of Base Song)
"Always Have Always Will" is a 1998 song by Swedish pop band Ace of Base. Heavily inspired by the Motown sound of the mid-1960s, the intro samples the intros from the Supremes track "Where Did Our Love Go" and the Four Tops track "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)". It was co-written by Jonas Berggren with Mike Chapman. The song was originally titled "Killer on the Rampage" and contained different lyrics. When the song was pitched as a potential song for the upcoming Flowers/Cruel Summer album, Arista records liked the melody; however, requested that the lyrics be rewritten. ''Aftonbladet'' (, lit. "The evening paper") is a Swedish daily newspaper published in Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of the largest daily newspapers in the Nordic countries. History and profile The newspaper was founded by Lars Johan Hierta in December 1830 under the name of ''Aftonbladet i Stockholm'' during the modernization of Sweden. Often critical and oppositional, the paper was repeatedly banned from publishing. However, Hierta circumvented the bans by constantly reviving the paper under slightly modified names, as, legally speaking, a new publication. Thus, on 16 February 1835, he issued the first edition of New Aftonbladet, which would – after yet another ban – be followed by Newer Aftonbladet, in turn followed by Fourth Aftonbladet, Fifth Aftonbladet, and so on. "Living in Danger" is a song recorded by Swedish group Ace of Base. It was released in October 1994 by Arista and Mega as the seventh and final single from the group's debut album, '' Happy Nation (U.S. version)'' and fourth single from their American debut release, '' The Sign'' (1993). Written by bandmembers Jonas Berggren and Ulf Ekberg, the single peaked at number 20 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and also topped the ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play chart in December 1994. On the US ''Cash Box'' Top 100, it peaked at number ten. The single later reached number 18 on the UK Singles Chart in January 1995. "Whenever You're Near Me" is the second single from Swedish group Ace of Base's third American record, '' Cruel Summer''. The original version of the song, "Life Is a Flower", was a huge hit in Europe and Japan. The lyrics were rewritten by song composer Mike Chapman, and the song was released to radio stations in North and South America on October 6, 1998. This version peaked at number 76 in the United States and number 51 in Canada; it was the band's last charting hit in both countries. Critical reception Larry Flick from ''Billboard'' wrote that the song "shows Ace Of Base revisiting the more familiar pop/reggae sound that made the group a top 40 favorite." "Dag efter dag" (; "Day after day") is a song in Swedish, with melody by Lasse Holm and text by Monica Forsberg. The pop and country group Chips (Kikki Danielsson and Elisabeth Andreassen) won the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1982 with it. Chips, as representatives, finished eighth in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982. On April 18, 1982, the song reached the first place at Svensktoppen, where it stayed for nine rounds. On June 13, 1982, the song was the last to be number one at Svensktoppen, before the program was removed the first time. Chips also recorded the song with lyrics in English, "Day after Day". Chips (band)
Chips was a Swedish country group formed in Sweden in 1979. History Chips finished 4th in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1980 with the song " Mycke' mycke' mer", with Lars Westman, Lisa Magnusson, Mats Rådberg and Monica Silverstrand (back then Barwén) as background singers. After Melodifestivalen 1980, Johansson also became a member. In 1980, the album ''Chips'' was released and shortly after this, Elisabeth Andreasson became a member. Just some weeks after this, they toured the former West Germany. Under a new name ''Sweets 'n Chips'', which they used since a dansband also said they owned the right for the name Chips, the group competed at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1981, and finished second with the song " God morgon". ''Expressen'' (''The Express'') is one of two nationwide evening newspapers in Sweden, the other being '' Aftonbladet''. ''Expressen'' was founded in 1944; its symbol is a wasp and its slogans are "it stings" or "''Expressen'' to your rescue".
