Aluk Todolo
Aluk Todolo is the ethnic religion of the ancestors of the Torajans, which is still practiced by a large number of Torajan people. Since 1970, Aluk Todolo has been protected by the Indonesian state and is officially classified under "Hinduism"; hence, it is often referred to as "Hindu Alukta". In religious studies, an ethnic religion is a religion or belief associated with a particular ethnic group. South Sulawesi
South Sulawesi ( id, Sulawesi Selatan) is a province in the southern peninsula of Sulawesi. The Selayar Islands archipelago to the south of Sulawesi is also part of the province. The capital is Makassar. The province is bordered by Central Sulawesi and West Sulawesi to the north, the Gulf of Bone and Southeast Sulawesi to the east, Makassar Strait to the west, and Flores Sea to the south. Tana Toraja Regency
Tana Toraja ( 'Toraja Land' in Toraja language) is a landlocked regency (''kabupaten'') of South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia, and home to the Toraja ethnic group. It covers an area of and had a population of 221,081 at the 2010 census and 280,794 at the 2020 census.Badan Pusat Statistik, Jakarta, 2021. The local government seat is in Makale, while the center of Toraja culture is in Rantepao. East Asian Religions
In the study of comparative religion, the East Asian religions or Taoic religions, form a subset of the Eastern religions.
