Altay Sarsenuly Amanzholov
Altay Sarsenuly Amanzholov ( kk, Алтай Сәрсенұлы Аманжолов, ''Altaı Sársenuly Amanjolov''; February 6, 1934 – August 10, 2012) was a Kazakh SSR, Kazakhs, Kazakh Turkologist. He followed his father Sarsen Amanzholov's steps continuing in this field of study. Biography Amanzholov graduated in 1957 at the Eastern Languages Institute of Moscow State University, in Turkic philology. 1957-1960 and 1964–1966 at the Academy of Sciences, Kazakh SSR, 1966–1979 at lecturing in Kazakh language at the Kazakh State Women Pedagogical Institute. In 1975 he submitted his doctoral thesis on "Materials and research in the history of Old Turkic writing". 1979-1995 dean of the General Linguistics Faculty at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Amanzholov lectured for one year at the Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon, Turkey, in 1993/1994. In 1995, he became a full member of the Kazakhstan Academy of Humanities. Publications

Altay Bayındır (born 14 April 1998) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Manchester United and the Turkey national team. Altay Aghasaid oghlu Saidov ( az, Altay Ağasəid oğlu Səidov, July 11, 1926 — September 10, 2015) was an Azerbaijani scenic painter. Biography Altay Saidov was born on July 11, 1926, in Baku. In 1943-1946 he studied at the Azim Azimzade Azerbaijan State Art School, and in 1948–1953 at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. On October 29, 1953, he was hired as a set designer at the Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators, and since 1967, he has worked as a chief artist in this collective. He also provided stage design for performances at the Azerbaijan State Academic Theatre of Musical Comedy by invitation. Saidov died on September 10, 2015. Engin Altay
Engin Altay (born 15 December 1963) is a Turkish politician from the Republican People's Party (CHP) who serves as a Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Sinop since the 2002. He was re-elected in 2007, 2011, June 2015 and November 2015. On 30 June 2011, Altay was elected as one of the three CHP parliamentary group leaders, serving alongside Muharrem İnce, Akif Hamzaçebi and later Levent Gök. Early life and career Born and raised in Sinop, Altay was educated at Dokuz Eylül University and became a teacher in various districts in the provinces of Sinop and Sivas. Fahrettin Altay
Fahrettin Altay (12 January 1880 – 25 October 1974) was a Turkish military officer. The Turkish tank Altay is named in honor of him. Biography Fahrettin Altay was born to Lieutenant Colonel İsmail Bey, son of Hacı Ahmet Efendi from İzmir and Hayriye Hanım, the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel İbrahim Bey in Shkodër in Scutari Vilayet (now Albania). His father rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel from being a captain at his arrival, by gaining fame in the wars he fought against Malësors and Montenegrins in the Shkodër region. He traces his roots to İzmir and states that his great-grandfather was Ömer Ağa the son of the " Urlalı" and states that his parents were married in Monastir.
