Alphonsian Academy
150px, St. Alphonsus de Liguori, whose teachings inspired the establishment of the Academy. The Pontifical Alphonsian Academy (; ), also commonly known as the Alphonsianum, is a pontifical institution of higher education founded in 1949 by the Redemptorists and located in Rome, Italy. Since 1960, the Academy has specialized in moral theology as a part of the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Lateran University. In 2023, Pope Francis granted the institute the title of "Pontifical." The Academy grants both the licentiate and the doctoral degrees in moral theology. Patrick Hoogmartens
Patrick Hoogmartens (born 1952) is a Belgian prelate of the Catholic Church who has served as the third bishop of the Diocese of Hasselt since 2004. Life Hoogmartens was born in Tongeren on 19 May 1952 and was educated at schools in the city. He studied at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, graduating licentiate in Law (1977) and Philosophy (1978). He then entered the seminary, where he studied Theology. He was ordained to the priesthood on 4 July 1982 in the Basilica of Our Lady, Tongeren, and undertook further studies at the Alphonsian Academy, graduating Licentiate of Sacred Theology. On 1 September 1989 he was appointed president of the Major Seminary in Hasselt. On 8 July 1997 Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Hasselt. Fikremariam Hagos Tsalim (born 23 October 1970) is an Ethiopia-born prelate of the Eritrean Catholic Church who has been bishop of the Eparchy of Segheneity since 2012. He was imprisoned without trial in 2022 from 15 October and released after 75 days. Early life and education Fikremariam Hagos Tsalim was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 23 October 1970 to Hagos Tsalim and Birikti Abebe Woldemichael. Michael James Sis (born January 9, 1960) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He has been serving as the Bishop of the Diocese of San Angelo in Texas since 2013. Hipólito Reyes Larios (August 13, 1946 – August 8, 2021) was a Mexican Roman Catholic prelate. Reyes served as the first Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orizaba in Veracruz from 2000 until 2007. Luigi Padovese
Luigi Padovese (31 March 1947 – 3 June 2010) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who became a bishop and served as the Apostolic Vicar of Anatolia in Turkey.
