Alpha Iota Delta () is a scholastic honor society recognizing academic achievement among students in the fields of Decision Sciences and Information Systems. The society was founded at Decision Sciences Institute in 1971, and admitted to the Association of College Honor Societies in 2009. Alpha Iota Delta honor society has 55 active chapters across the United States, and a total membership of around 7000. Decision Sciences Institute
The Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) is a professional association of university professors, graduate students, and practitioners whose interest lies in the application of quantitative research and qualitative research to the decision problems of individuals, organizations, and society. Many of the members of this academic organization are faculty members in business schools. The DSI currently is hosted in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. Members of the Institute share their research findings at DSI's Annual Meeting (DSI's main academic conference), international DSI meetings, or regional conferences.
