Alou Kuol
Alou Kuol (born 5 July 2001) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for VfB Stuttgart. Born in Sudan and raised in Australia by South-Sudanese parents, he represents Australia at youth level. Early life Alou Kuol was born in Khartoum to South Sudanese parents, and has five younger brothers and an older brother named Kuol, who he credits for forcing him to relocate for soccer when he first joined the Mariners Academy. Kuol's family fled Sudan when he was three, staying in Egypt for a year before arriving in Sydney. In 2015, Kuol moved to Shepparton, where he later worked as a kitchen hand while playing youth football. Khartoum
Khartoum or Khartum ( ; ar, الخرطوم, Al-Khurṭūm, din, Kaartuɔ̈m) is the capital of Sudan. With a population of 5,274,321, its metropolitan area is the largest in Sudan. 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup
The 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup was the 5th edition of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup (prior to 2021 known as the AFC U-23 Championship), a biennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia. The players had to be born on or after 1 January 1999. The tournament was originally going to be held in Uzbekistan from 6–24 January 2022, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and rescheduled to 1–19 June 2022. A total of 16 teams competed in the tournament. South Korea were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Japan in the quarter-finals, failing to finish among the top 4 for the first time. Newcastle United Jets Football Club, commonly known as Newcastle Jets, is an Australian professional soccer club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. The 2020–21 A-League was the 44th season of national level soccer in Australia, and the 16th since the establishment of the A-League in 2004. The season was started on 28 December 2020 and concluded with the Grand Final on 27 June 2021. The start of the season was later than previous seasons as a result of both the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia and New Zealand, and as part of a gradual shift to move the competition from summer to winter. ''Shepparton News'' is a daily morning newspaper serving Shepparton, Victoria. It was established in 1887 by Thomas Haslam as a weekly broadsheet and was purchased by Colin McPherson the following year. The ''News'' is owned by McPherson Media Group, a family business. History Establishment and purchases (1887–1913) In 1887, Thomas Haslam came to Shepparton with a printing press transported from Echuca by a bullock team and established the ''Shepparton News''. As he was on the other side of the Goulburn River, it took two days for Haslam to transfer the plant on MacGuire's Punt two by two. Joshua Nisbet (born 15 June 1999) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for Central Coast Mariners. He can play in several positions including defensive midfield, winger, attacking midfield or as a forward. Origins The newspaper was founded at Echuca on 1 July 1863, with its first editor as Robert Ross Haverfield (1819–1889) and joint owners James Joseph Casey (1831–1913) and Angus Mackay (1824–1886) - the latter also being one of the proprietors of the Bendigo Advertiser. A-League Youth, formerly known as the National Youth League and Y-League, is an Australian national soccer youth developmental and under-21s league, founded by Football Federation Australia and now run by the Australian Professional Leagues. The current league was established as a successor to the previous competition of the National Youth League (1984–2004) and commenced in August 2008. The league runs in conjunction with the A-League Men as a developmental or reserve league. The league, as well as the A-League Men and A-League Women are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues. In 2020 it was contested by ten teams, all of which competed in the A-League.
