"Along Comes Mary" is a song composed by Tandyn Almer, originally recorded by American sunshine pop band the Association. It was the group's first hit, released on their debut album, '' And Then... Along Comes the Association'' (1966). Background "Along Comes Mary" is sung from the point of view of a once-disillusioned young man talking about the "tribulations no one ever sees" and who "curse those faults in me." The singer believes Mary gives him comfort and improves his life. An acquaintance of Almer claimed in an interview that "Mary" refers to marijuana, though it is unclear if Almer ever confirmed this. The Association is an American sunshine pop band from California. ''Hooray for Boobies'' is the third studio album by American alternative rock and rap band Bloodhound Gang. It was released on October 4, 1999, in the United Kingdom and on February 29, 2000, in the United States. Produced by Jimmy Pop and Richard Gavalis, it is the band's second release with Geffen Records after ''One Fierce Beer Coaster'' (1996). Baja Marimba Band
The Baja Marimba Band was a musical group led by marimba player Julius Wechter. Formed by producer Herb Alpert after his own Tijuana Brass, the Baja Marimba Band outlasted the Tijuana Brass by several years in part due to TV producer Chuck Barris, who included the group's music on his game shows in the 1970s. History Origin During his youth, Julius Wechter took up several percussion instruments including the vibes and marimba. In 1956 his group the Julius Wechter Quartet released a jazz album entitled ''Linear Sketches''. In 1958, Julius joined Martin Denny's band where he played marimba (replacing Arthur Lyman) as well as numerous other percussion instruments. Callen Radcliffe Tjader Jr. ( ; July 16, 1925 – May 5, 1982) was an American Latin Jazz musician, known as the most successful non-Latino Latin musician. "Why's Everybody Always Pickin' on Me?" is the third single off the Bloodhound Gang's second album ''One Fierce Beer Coaster''. The song samples "Spooky" by Classics IV and "Never Let Me Down Again" by Depeche Mode. The title is borrowed from the classic 1959 song "Charlie Brown" performed by The Coasters, in which a school troublemaker complains about being picked upon when his schemes backfire. Music video The music video starts out with Jimmy Pop in a psychiatrist's office. The doctor (whose name is Scott P. Nussenvy, a tongue-in-cheek reference to penis envy) proceeds to take Jimmy over to the couch and hypnotize him, in which Jimmy goes back over his horrible experience in high school and we see why he is the paranoid katagelophobic he is today.
