Josep Ibarz I Gilart
Joseph Ibarz i Gilart (born 1961 in Paris) is a Catalan politician, mayor of Almacelles since 2003. Born in Paris, at age 14 he left the French capital to live in Almacelles with his family. He resides there still, with his wife and daughters. His political career began in 1987 when he joined the Democratic Convergence of Catalonia and the Catalan Nationalist Youth. Since then he has held various responsibilities within the party. He was a member of the local executive of CDC, the County Executive Segrià, local head of the CDC, Convergence and the National Council, a position he currently holds. In 1991 he became a local councillor in Almacelles. Gilart was responsible for the Youth, Agriculture and Environment (1991–1995). He was director of the District Council of Segrià during the term of 1999-2003 and vice president in 2003-2007. In 2003 he won election as mayor of Almacelles. Catalonia is (as of 2018) divided into 947 Municipalities of Spain, municipalities. Lleida
Lleida (, ; Spanish: Lérida ) is a city in the west of Catalonia, Spain. It is the capital city of the province of Lleida. Geographically, it is located in the Catalan Central Depression. It is also the capital city of the Segrià comarca, as well as the largest city in the province. It had 137,387 inhabitants , including the contiguous towns of Raimat and Sucs. Lleida is one of the oldest towns in Catalonia, with recorded settlements dating back to the Bronze Age period. Until the Roman conquest of the Iberian Peninsula, the area served as a settlement for an Iberian people, the Ilergetes. The town became a municipality, named Ilerda, under the reign of Augustus. Altorricón
Altorricón () or El Torricó () is a municipality located in the ''comarca'' of La Litera/La Llitera in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. With an extension of 32.03 km², the municipal district of Altorricón lies on the southern part of La Llitera, limiting with El Segrià (Almacelles). The district is surrounded north and south by Tamarite de Litera. The municipality contains the town of Altorricón and the uninhabited towns of ''Cuquet'', ''Montanera'' and ''Lo Tossal'' as well as the old church of ''San Bartolomé de Altorricón''. It has two official names ''Altorricón'' and ''El Torricó''. The official name of Altorricón is considered to be incorrect by historians, although most of the population use that form of the name, in either the Spanish form of it ''Altorricón'' or the Catalan ''Altorricó''.
