Pedro Miguel de Santana Lopes GCC (; born 29 June 1956) is a Portuguese lawyer and politician, who is the current president of the Municipal Chamber of Figueira da Foz. 2019 Madeiran Regional Election
Regional elections were held on 22 September 2019 to determine the composition of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in Portugal. All 47 members of the Assembly were up for election. The Social Democratic Party continued their 43-year streak of being the largest party in the Madeiran legislature, but failed to hold on to their absolute majority, and would require a coalition for the first time to remain in power. The party won 39% of the votes, a decrease of 5%, and lost 3 members of the regional party. In the electoral map, the PSD lost the two biggest cities in Madeira, Funchal and Santa Cruz to the PS, although by less than 2% of the vote. Overall, the PSD still won the majority of municipalities, obtaining victory in 7 of the 11 in Madeira. The Socialist Party surged in these elections, polling just two seats and 3.6% behind the PSD. 2020 Azorean Regional Election
The 2020 Azorean regional election was held on 25 October 2020, to determine the composition of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores. All 57 members of the assembly were up for election. The Socialist Party (PS) again won the most votes with 39%, but lost their majority against all predictions. The party won 25 seats, 5 seats fewer than in 2016 and 4 seats short of a majority. The Socialists' main opponent, the Social Democratic Party (PSD), made significant gains by winning almost 34% of the votes and 21 seats, two more than in 2016. The CDS – People's Party was able to hold on to its status as the third biggest party in the region but lost almost 2% of the votes and one member on the regional parliament. 2019 European Parliament Election In Portugal
The 2019 European Parliament election in Portugal elected the Portuguese delegation to the European Parliament from 2019 to 2024. This was the eighth European Parliament election held in Portugal. The election was held on Sunday, 26 May 2019. The Socialist Party (PS) was the winner of the election, scoring 33.4% of the vote. The party increased their share of the votes by 2% from the 2014 election, and won an additional seat. It was one of the only three times in Portuguese history where the government party won a European election. The Social Democratic Party (PSD) achieved its worst results ever as a standalone party, with 21.9% of the vote, distancing more than eleven points from the winner. Jorge Nuno Fernandes Traila Monteiro de Sá (born 13 June 1977) is a Portuguese politician who has been the President of Alliance since 2021. Biography Jorge Nuno de Sá was a member of the Social Democratic Party, having served as a member of the Assembly of the Republic from Viana do Castelo from 2002 to 2005. He was also the leader of the Social Democratic Youth from 29 September 2002 to March 2005. In November 2010, he was the only member of the council of the PSD to vote against the candidacy of incumbent President Cavaco Silva in the 2011 presidential election. Early legislative elections were held on 30 January 2022 in Portugal to elect members of the Assembly of the Republic to the 15th Legislature of the Third Portuguese Republic.
