Allendale, Victoria
Allendale (aka Allandale) is a town in Victoria, Australia, located north-east of Creswick, in the Shire of Hepburn. At the , Allendale and the surrounding area had a population of 166. The town began as a mining settlement around the Berry Leads mining area. It had a peak population of about 1,500. Allendale once had ten hotels, railway station, post office, bakery, and shops, all of which have closed. The small boarding school located in Leishman Street was sold in 2005. Allendale Post Office opened on 6 May 1881, was known as Allandale from 1885 to 1893, and closed in 1974. Allendale Railway Station was on the North Creswick to Daylesford line. Allendale is a town in eastern Worth County, Missouri, United States. The population was 53 at the 2010 census, at which time it was a town. History Allendale was platted in 1855 by Joel and William Allen, and named for them. It was initially named Allenville but was later changed to avoid mailing confusion with another town named Allenville. A post office called Allendale has been in operation since 1861. Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham in the County of Northumberland, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 5 July 1911 for the Liberal politician Wentworth Beaumont, 2nd Baron Allendale. The title of Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham in the County of Northumberland, had been created in the Peerage of the United Kingdom on 20 July 1906 for his father, the Yorkshire mining magnate and Liberal Member of Parliament, Wentworth Beaumont. Conroe is the code name for many Intel processors sold as Core 2 Duo, Xeon, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron. It was the first desktop processor to be based on the Core microarchitecture, replacing the NetBurst microarchitecture based Cedar Mill processor. Allendale County is a county in the U.S. state of South Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,039, making it the least populous county in South Carolina. Its county seat is Allendale. History Allendale County was formed in 1919 from southwestern portions of Barnwell County, along the Savannah River. It is the location of the Topper Site, an archeological excavation providing possible evidence of a pre-Clovis culture dating back 50,000 years. The site is near a source of chert on private land in Martin owned by Clariant Corporation, a Swiss chemical company with a plant there. Allendale is a town in and the county seat of Allendale County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 3,482 at the 2010 census, a decline from 4,052 in 2000. Allendale is a residential neighbourhood located in south west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The neighbourhood is named for the Allen family, who owned a farm there. It was annexed by the City of Strathcona in 1907. Residential development in Allendale commenced prior to the end of World War II. Approximately one residence in eleven (9%) were constructed at this time according to the 2001 federal census. Approximately half the residences in the neighbourhood (48.1%) were constructed between the end of World War II and 1960. One in three (34.6%) of residences were constructed during the 1960s and 1970s. A small number of residences were constructed after 1980.
