Allen Doyle
Allen Michael Doyle (born July 26, 1948) is an American professional golfer who played on the Nike Tour, PGA Tour, and Champions Tour. Life and career Doyle was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and raised in the Boston suburb of Norwood, Massachusetts. He attended Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, and Norwich University in Vermont where he hosts an annual golf tournament to benefit the Norwich Hockey Team. Despite winning numerous amateur titles, he did not turn professional until he was 46. In 1995, his first full professional season, he won three times on the Nike Tour. From 1996 to 1998 Doyle competed in 58 PGA Tour events, making the cut in 31, including two top-10 finishes. Doyle became eligible to play on the Senior PGA Tour when he turned 50 in July 1998 and won four official money events in 1999, including the Senior PGA Championship. Prairie Dunes Country Club
Prairie Dunes Country Club is a golf course located just outside Hutchinson, Kansas. Frequently ranked among the best golf courses in the United States, it has hosted several United States Golf Association national championship tournaments. The club was founded by Emerson Carey and his four sons in the mid-1930s. The course was funded and constructed, at least in part, by the Works Progress Administration under the New Deal. John Maginnes
John Maginnes (born July 14, 1968) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nike Tour and is currently a golf analyst with his own show on Sirius XM Radio. Playing career Maginnes joined the Nike Tour in 1994. In 1995 he picked up his first win on Tour in at the Nike San Jose Open and also earned his PGA Tour card through qualifying school. In his rookie year on Tour he came close to winning the Buick Challenge but lost in a playoff to Michael Bradley. He finished 113th on the money list and retained his Tour card for the following year. He didn't play well enough in 1997 to retain his Tour card so he split time between the PGA and Nationwide Tour in 1998, picking up a victory at the Nike Dakota Dunes Open on the Nationwide Tour. He finished fifth on the money list that year, earning him his PGA Tour card for 1999. Nike Tour Championship
The Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance is the year-end golf tournament of the Korn Ferry Tour. It has been played at a variety of courses; starting in 2019 it will be played at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana as part of a 10-year deal. Since the 2008 edition, the purse has been $1,000,000, with the winner receiving $180,000. The format of the tournament is stroke play at 18 holes for four days, a total of 72 holes. Originally, the field consisted of the top 60 players on the money list, all attempting to be among the 25 to earn PGA Tour cards. Franklin Langham
Franklin Langham (born May 8, 1968) is an American professional golfer. Langham was born in Thomson, Georgia. He played golf at the University of Georgia from 1989 to 1991 and was named an All-American in 1991. He played on the 1991 Walker Cup team. Langham played on the PGA Tour in 1996, 1998-2002 and 2005 and on the Nationwide Tour in 1993-95, 1997, 2003–04 and 2006–08. Dogwood Invitational
The Dogwood Invitational is an amateur golf championship played annually at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Established in 1941, the goal of the Dogwood is to promote the game of amateur golf and support junior golf organizations. The tournament is run by The Dogwood Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. The Dogwood Invitation has consistently been a "Category B" tournament in the World Amateur Golf Ranking which means that it is one of the top 150 men's events world-wide based on strength-of-field. The 18-hole, par-72 course at Druid Hills is 6,860 yards from the Dogwood Tees with a slope of 139 and 73.5 rating.
