Allegro (restaurant)
Allegro was a top restaurant in Prague Four Seasons hotel. It is now closed. In 2008 it became the first restaurant from the post-communist bloc to obtain the star from the prestigious Michelin Guide The Michelin Guides ( ) are a series of guide books that have been published by the French tyre company Michelin since 1900. The Guide awards up to three Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. The acquisition or loss of .... In 2009, 2010 and 2011, Allegro retained its star. It was the only restaurant in Prague with the accolade, although in 2010 a restaurant in Hungary was awarded the star, ending Allego's claim as the only restaurant from the Eastern Bloc to have the star. Andrea Accordi is an Italian chef working in Percorso Restaurant in Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace Saint-Petersburg. He became the first chef to receive the Michelin star in Eastern Europe. The Four Seasons Hotel in Prague is a part of the Four Seasons chain of hotels and resorts. It is located near Charles Bridge with a view of Prague Castle. The hotel opened on 9 February 2001.
