Allegiance Commission
The Allegiance Council ( ar, هيئة البيعة ''Hay’at al-Bay‘ah''), also known as the Allegiance Commission or Allegiance Institution or Succession Commission, is the body responsible for determining future Line of succession to the Saudi Arabian throne, succession to the throne of Saudi Arabia. It was formed on 7 December 2007 by Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah. At the time of its formation, the Council's intended function was to appoint a Crown Prince once a new King of Saudi Arabia, King succeeds to the throne. Line Of Succession To The Saudi Arabian Throne
The order of succession to the Saudi Arabian throne is determined by, and within, the House of Saud. Every King of Saudi Arabia, upon his death, has been succeeded by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, crown prince, with a new crown prince then being appointed according to agnatic seniority among the Descendants of Ibn Saud, sons of Ibn Saud, though various members of the family have been bypassed for various reasons. A deputy crown prince (second in line for the throne) was first selected in 2014. The current ruler of Saudi Arabia is Salman of Saudi Arabia, King Salman, who succeeded Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah on his death on 23 January 2015. On the same day, Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Prince Muqrin became Crown Prince only to be replaced three months later by Muhammad bin Nayef at the order of Salman.

Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ( ar, سلمان بن عبد العزیز آل سعود, , ; born 31 December 1935) is King of Saudi Arabia, reigning since 2015, and served as Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2022. Mamdouh bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (born 1940) is a businessman, the former governor of the Tabuk Province and a member of the Saudi royal family. Early life Prince Mamdouh was born in 1940.
