All The Best (Zucchero Album)
''All the Best'' is a compilation album by Italian singer-songwriter Zucchero Fornaciari, released in November 2007, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the release of his first studio album ''Un po' di Zucchero'', released in 1983. It was promoted during Zucchero's All the Best World Tour in 2008, in its 85 concerts in Europe, Morocco, Armenia, North America, and Australia. Overview The compilation album was released in several editions. The regular edition was released as 2CD with 35 tracks in Italy, in Europe as 1CD with 18 tracks, while in North America and iTunes as 1CD with 15 tracks. In North America it was released on January 15, 2008 by Verve Records. The Italian edition is available in some iTunes Stores. In Italy and Europe a limited edition with 2 CD and 3 DVD (video collection, bonus videos, extras) was released too. Zucchero Fornaciari
Adelmo Fornaciari (; born 25 September 1955), more commonly known by his stage name Zucchero Fornaciari or simply Zucchero (), is an Italian singer, musician and songwriter. His stage name is the Italian word for "sugar", as his elementary teacher used to call him. His music is largely inspired by gospel, soul, blues and rock music, and alternates between Italian ballads and more rhythmic R&B-boogie-like pieces. He is credited as the "father of Italian blues", introducing blues to the big stage in Italy. He is one of the few European blues artists who still enjoys great international success. Wonderful Life (Black Song)
"Wonderful Life" is a song by the English singer Black from his 1987 album ''Wonderful Life''. The song was released twice as a single and was successful the second time, becoming a top ten hit in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the UK. Black, who wrote the song while broke, commented: "I was really being ironic... Most people took it at face value." "Senza una donna" () is a song written and performed by Italian singer and musician Zucchero on his fourth album, ''Blue's'' (1987). Originally recorded in Italian, in 1990 it was re-recorded in English with English singer and musician Paul Young. The English lyrics were contributed by Frank Musker. The song was then released as a single under the title "Senza una donna (Without a Woman)". John Lee Hooker
John Lee Hooker (August 22, 1912 or 1917 – June 21, 2001) was an American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist. The son of a sharecropper, he rose to prominence performing an electric guitar-style adaptation of Delta blues. Hooker often incorporated other elements, including talking blues and early North Mississippi hill country blues. Haylie Ecker (born 9 October 1975) is an Australian performer, writer, artistic director, and the former first violinist and co-founding member of the multi-platinum selling classical crossover string quartet Bond. "Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime" is a 1980 single written by James Warren and first performed by British pop band the Korgis; Warren was lead singer in the band. It has subsequently been covered by numerous other artists. Background "Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime" features a distinctive synthesizer line as primary sound, based on a prominent keyboards arrangement played by Phil Harrison. The song also is notable for its simple and sparse lyrics, but with a direct message. Related to this, lead singer and bassist James Warren has said that the song took only 10 or 15 minutes to write, literally singing the first thing to come into his mind, as he played both the chords and melodies on the piano. William Everett Preston (September 2, 1946 – June 6, 2006) was an American keyboardist, singer and songwriter whose work encompassed R&B, rock, soul, funk, and gospel. "You Are So Beautiful" is a song written by Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher that was first released in 1974 on Preston's ninth studio album, ''The Kids & Me''. It was also the B-side of his single "Struttin'". Later that same year, English singer Joe Cocker released a slower version of the song on his album ''I Can Stand a Little Rain''.
