''All Night Long'' (''Loud & Clear'' in the UK) is Sammy Hagar's first live album, released in 1978. The album was recorded during concerts in San Francisco, San Antonio, San Bernardino, Santa Cruz and Santa Monica. ''All Night Long'' was not released in the UK until 1979 under a new title, ''Loud & Clear'', and with new cover artwork. Additionally, a live version of Montrose's "Space Station #5" was added to the end of the album. Sammy Hagar
Samuel Roy Hagar (born October 13, 1947), also known as the Red Rocker, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He rose to prominence in the early 1970s with the hard rock band Montrose and subsequently launched a successful solo career, scoring a hit in 1984 with "I Can't Drive 55". He enjoyed commercial success when he replaced David Lee Roth as the second lead vocalist of Van Halen in 1985, but left in 1996. He returned to the band from 2003 to 2005. In 2007, Hagar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen. His musical style primarily consists of hard rock and heavy metal. Also a businessman, Hagar founded the Cabo Wabo tequila brand and restaurant chain, as well as Sammy's Beach Bar rum. Denny Carmassi (born April 30, 1947) is an American drummer most notable for playing with many rock bands. Biography Carmassi was born into a family of drummers; his father, his uncle, and his brother each played the drums. Some of Denny's earliest memories are his father rehearsing after work with his band in the kitchen of their home. Occasionally they allowed young Denny Carmassi to sit in with them. His father exposed him to great drummers, including Buddy Rich, Jimmy Vincent and Richard Goldberg. Then Denny listened the radio and discovered several drummers like Earl Palmer, D.J. Tracks 1-6 were taken from '' All Night Long'' and tracks 7-11 were taken from '' Live 1980''. Song information This compilation does nothing to correct the erred track break from '' Live 1980''. Here though, the song "In The Night", which contained the main verse of two simultaneously played tracks, is omitted from this collection. It is also often referred to as ''The Red Album'', as it includes Hagar's first anthem, "Red", which is also the basis for his nickname "The Red Rocker". ''Nine on a Ten Scale'' is the debut solo album by American rock musician Sammy Hagar, released in May 1976 by Capitol Records. It was his first release after his departure from Montrose in 1975. It was announced in Billboard Magazine that Hagar was signed to Capitol Records in January of 1976. Nine on a Ten Scale was slated for a February 9th release date. The album sold poorly and was not successful.
