North Carolina FC is an American professional soccer team in Cary, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh. Founded in 2006, the team plays in USL League One, the third tier of the American league system. The team has played its home games at the 10,000-seat WakeMed Soccer Park since 2007. The team's colors are Atlantic blue, cardinal red, and Southern gold. On December 6, 2016, the Carolina RailHawks announced a name change to North Carolina Football Club in pursuit of becoming a Major League Soccer franchise. The club's home attendance record had been broken earlier that year when 10,125 attended a match against West Ham United of the English Premier League. Daniel Francisco Barrera (born January 8, 1990) is a professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship. Born in Colombia, he has represented the United States at youth level. Early life and education Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Barrera moved to the United States at the age of eight, growing up in Thousand Oaks, California. He trained with Sheffield United F.C. as a teen. He developed his game in the United States both with the US Soccer residency program and at the high school level with Westlake High School, where he skipped his senior year of high school. Ray Burse
Ray Burse, Jr. (born October 2, 1984 in Prospect, Kentucky) is an American former soccer player. Career College and amateur Burse attended St. Xavier High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and played college soccer at Ohio State University. His 162 career saves and 1.11 goals against average (GAA) has left him as one of OSU's best goalkeepers to date. In high school Burse was named an All-American playing as a forward. In 2005 Burse also played for Chicago Fire Premier in the USL Premier Development League, finishing the year with an impressive 0.68 GAA. Professional Burse was drafted in the third round of the 2006 MLS Superdraft and played on the F.C. Dallas reserve squad. Sallieu Bundu (born January 1, 1984, in Freetown, Sierra Leone) nicknamed Teacher, is a Sierra Leonean Association football, footballer. Early life Bundu, who is commonly known by his nickname Teacher, grew up in his hometown of Freetown, Sierra Leone, the second largest city in Sierra Leone. He attended the Independence Memorial High School. At the age of 15, Bundu fled on foot with his mother and siblings to Guinea to escape the civil war in his home country; his father was murdered by rebels. Andriy Budnyi (born 20 September 1982) is a Ukrainian footballer. Career College and Amateur In 2002, Budnyi attended Bard College. He transferred to San Jose State University in 2002. He then transferred to Azusa Pacific University, where he earned the 2005 Golden State Athletic Conference and Region II Player of the Year award. Omar Bravo Tordecillas (born 4 March 1980) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is Guadalajara's all-time leading scorer in all matches. Stuart Brightwell (born 31 January 1979) is a former English football midfielder who spent one season in the USL First Division in the USA. He last played for Horden Colliery Welfare A.F.C. in the Northern League. Currently, he works as a coach at the i2i International Soccer Academy. . Simone Bracalello (born October 21, 1985), also known in Italy as Bracca, is an Italian former footballer who played as a forward. Matthew "Matt" Bobo (born January 6, 1977 in Des Moines, Iowa) is an American soccer player who last played for Carolina RailHawks in the North American Soccer League. Career College and Amateur Bobo attended the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay where he played on the men's soccer team in 1995 and 1996. In 1997, he transferred to Eastern Illinois University, where he was a First-Team All-Midwest and EIU's MVP as a senior. Uriah Bentick (born 5 February 1989) is a Trinidadian footballer who plays for Fredericksburg Fire FC in Major Arena Soccer League 3. Kyle Bekker
Kyle Edward Bekker (born September 2, 1990) is a Canadian professional soccer midfielder, and team captain, for Forge FC. Club career Youth Bekker was born in Oakville, Ontario and began his youth soccer career with the Oakville Blue Stars, winning back-to-back Ontario Cup Championships in 2004 and 2005 and a National Championship in 2004.
