All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1933
The 1933 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 47th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament. The draw for the Munster fixtures took place on 26 February 1933, while the draw for the Leinster fixtures took place on 5 March 1933. The championship began on 23 April 1933 and ended on 3 September 1933. Kilkenny entered the championship as the defending champions. On 3 September 1933, Kilkenny won the championship following a 1-7 to 0-6 defeat of Limerick in the All-Ireland final. This was their second All-Ireland title in succession and their 10th All-Ireland title overall. Limerick's Mick Mackey was the championship's top scorer with 4-8. Eddie Doyle (hurler)
Edmond Doyle (1 February 1897 – 9 May 1948) was an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Mooncoin and with the Kilkenny senior inter-county team in the 1930s. Playing career Club Doyle played his club hurling with the famous Mooncoin club and enjoyed much success. He helped Mooncoin to a three-in-a-row of senior county titles in 1916, 1917 and 1918. In the absence of a senior championship Doyle still continued his winning ways ne capturing junior county medals in 1920 and 1922. He captured further senior county titles in 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1932. Doyle was captain of the team in the latter year. Although he had retired in 1935 Doyle returned the following year and played a significant role in Mooncoin’s county final victory. It was his seventh senior county triumph overall. The 1915 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 29th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. The championship began on 25 April 1915 and ended on 24 October 1915. Clare were the defending champions, however, they were defeated in the provincial series. The Laois County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Luthchleas Gael Coiste Laois) or Laois GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Laois. Kerry GAA
The Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kerry GAA, is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland. It is responsible for Gaelic games in County Kerry, and for the Kerry county teams. The Kerry branch of the Gaelic Athletic Association was founded in the year 1888. Football is the dominant sport in the county, with both the men's and women's teams among the strongest in the country at senior level. The 1923 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 37th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament. The championship began on 20 May 1923 and ended on 14 September 1924. The championship was won by Galway who secured the title following a 7-3 to 4-5 defeat of Limerick in the All-Ireland final. The Galway County Boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae na Gaillimhe) or Galway GAA are one of the 32 county boards in Ireland; they are responsible for Gaelic games in County Galway, and for the Galway county teams.
