Alison Lee
Alison Lee (born February 26, 1995) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and is a college student at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was ranked number 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 16 weeks in 2013–14. Amateur career Lee was an AJGA First-Team All-American for six years, from 2008 through 2013, with nine wins on the AJGA circuit. She was a member of the victorious USA Junior Solheim Cup team in 2009, 2011, and 2013 helping to lead the US to three straight victories and was a member of the Junior Ryder Cup team in 2010 and 2012 and the Curtis Cup team in 2014. Lee played one season and a half of golf at UCLA, before turning pro in December of her sophomore year. She remains a student at the University. Ashleigh Ann Buhai ( née Simon, born 11 May 1989) is a South African professional golfer, who won the 2022 Women's Open, one of the major championships in women's golf. Amateur career Buhai had a successful amateur career. She was the youngest player to win the ladies’ South African Amateur Stroke Play and Match Play double. She represented her country in the mainly professional Women's World Cup of Golf three times while still an amateur. Professional career Buhai turned professional the day after her 18th birthday. She won the 2007 Catalonia Ladies Masters, which was her third event as a professional. The 2014 LPGA Tour was a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The Tour began at Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island in The Bahamas on January 23 and ended on November 23 at Grand Cypress Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). The most significant addition to the Tour in 2014 was a new team event, the International Crown. To be held each even-numbered year (those in which the Solheim Cup is not held), the event involved four-woman teams from eight countries competing in a four-day match play format. The tournaments were sanctioned by the United States-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). 2009 saw a reduction in both the number of tournaments and the total prize money on the Tour.
