Aliona Bolsova
Aliona Vadimovna Bolsova Zadoinova ( ro, Aliona Bolșova; russian: Алёна Вадимовна Большова, Alyona Vadimovna Bolshova; born 6 November 1997) is a Spanish-Moldovan tennis player. On the ITF Junior Circuit, Bolsova had a combined career-high ranking of No. 4, and reached the quarterfinals of the 2015 Australian Open. Bolsova has career-high WTA rankings of 88 in singles and 54 in doubles. She has won four doubles titles on the WTA Challenger Tour along with eight singles and 13 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Playing for Spain, Bolsova has a win–loss record of 4–3 in Billie Jean King Cup competition. Personal life Bolsova moved from Moldova to Spain at a young age. Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Caty McNally and Taylor Townsend in the final, 3–6, 7–5, 6–1 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 US Open. Viktor Bolshov
Viktor Bolshov (russian: Виктор Большов; born 23 May 1939) is a retired Soviet high jumper. He competed in the 1960 Olympics finishing fourth behind his teammates Robert Shavlakadze, world record holder Valery Brumel and American John Thomas. During the course of the competition all four equaled the Olympic record, Shavlakadze, the first jumper in the order set the record first. Based on current rules, Bolshov would have tied Thomas for the bronze medal, but at the time jumpers were penalized for the number of attempts and Bolshov took seven attempts during the competition to Thomas' five. In 1961, Bolshov jumped 2.16 m in Grozny, at the time he was the number three high jumper in the world. Bolshov continued jumping, returning to the Olympics in 1968, but not making the final. Vadim Zadoynov (russian: Вадим Задойнов, born 24 May 1969) is a Moldovan athlete who specialized in the 400 metres hurdles. Zadoynov was born in Chişinău. He won the bronze medal for the Soviet Union at the 1988 World Junior Championships. At the 1990 European Championships he finished fourth in the 400 m hurdles and eighth in the 4 × 400 m relay. At the 1992 Olympic Games he was knocked out in the heats. Zadoynov also competed at the World Championships in 1993, 1995, 1997 and 1999, and only reached the semi-final once; in 1997. The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players. WTA Rankings
The WTA rankings are the ratings defined by the Women's Tennis Association, introduced in November 1975. Iga Świątek is the current world No. 1. Ranking method The WTA rankings are based on a rolling 52-week, cumulative system. A player's ranking is determined by her results at a maximum of 16 tournaments for singles and 11 for doubles and points are awarded based on how far a player advances in a tournament. The basis for calculating a player's ranking are those tournaments that yield the highest ranking points during the rolling 52-week period with the condition that they must include points from the 4 Grand Slams, the 4 Premier Mandatory tournaments and the WTA Finals.
