''Alimayya'' is a 1993 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film written by Manivannan and directed by Kishore Sarja in his directorial debut. The film starred Arjun Sarja and Shruti. The film is a remake of 1987 Tamil film ''Kalyana Kacheri'' which was also an Arjun Sarja starrer. The film had a musical score by M. M. Keeravani and was produced by N. Kumar. Kishore Sarja
Kishore Sarja (died 27 June 2009) was an Indian film director who worked in Kannada-language films. Career Kishore Sarja started his career as an assistant director before making his directorial debut with ''Alimayya'' (1993) starring his brother Arjun Sarja, which was a remake of the 1987 Tamil film ''Kalyana Kacheri'' starring Arjun. He is known for directing the film ''Thutta Mutta'' (1998) starring Ramesh Aravind, which was commercially successful and his only film that was not a remake. He also directed other films including ''Jodi'' (2001) and ''Baava Baamaida'' (2001), both starring Shiva Rajkumar. He introduced his nephew, Chiranjeevi Sarja with the film ''Vayuputra'' (2009), which was produced by Arjun Sarja. Lokesh (; 19 May 1947 – 14 October 2004) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada plays and films. His wife Girija Lokesh is an actress and film director. His father was Subbaiah Naidu, who is credited to be first hero of Kannada silent movies. Lokesh made his film debut in the 1958 film '' Bhakta Prahlada''. Doddanna (born 11 November 1949) is an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry who has acted in about 800 films. He started his career as a theatre actor. During this time, he entered the Kannada film industry as a character actor. Early life Doddanna was born on 11 November 1949. The youngest son in the family, He belongs to Lingayat community. he was named after his grandfather Kadle Doddappa.
