Alice Fearn
Alice Fearn (born 23 October 1983) is a British stage actress. She is best known for playing captain Beverley Bass in ''Come from Away'' and Elphaba in ''Wicked'' in London's West End. Early life and education Fearn was born in Bath, where she lived until age 4. Her family then moved to a small village in Cumbria called Caldbeck, where she lived until moving to London to study drama in 2002. In Cumbria, she studied at Austin Friars School in Carlisle, her favourite subject being music. She played different instruments, settling on piano, harp and singing. She trained at the Mountview Theatre School in London, graduating in 2005. Career Theatre Fearn started her career onstage in 2004 as an understudy for the character of Laura in ''The Woman in White'' ( Palace Theatre, London). Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, formerly Mountview Theatre School, is a drama school in Peckham, south London, England, founded in 1945. Sophie Gwen Jenkins (nee Evans) (born 13 February 1993) is a Welsh singer and actress, who played Glinda in the West End production of ''Wicked'' (2017), and Dorothy in the 2011 musical '' The Wizard of Oz''. As a child, Evans performed with the Mid-Rhondda Operatic Society. After several television appearances in her teens, she achieved wider notice as the runner-up on the 2010 BBC talent show '' Over the Rainbow''. ''Diana'' is a musical with music and lyrics by David Bryan and Joe DiPietro, and a book by DiPietro, based on the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. A filmed performance was added to the streaming service Netflix on October 1, 2021, to negative reviews. Productions Previews for ''Diana'' began on February 19, 2019, at the La Jolla Playhouse. The world premiere of ''Diana'' opened the following month on March 3. The limited run was extended twice and closed on April 14, 2019. Jon Robyns (born 8 December 1982) is a British stage actor, who is best known for playing the roles of Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q the musical and Jean Valjean in Les Misérables in London's West End. Early life Robyns was born in Manchester and grew up in Liverpool, England. Moving to Bristol at the age of 10 he became involved with several local theatre and youth music groups. Performing in such varied shows as Purcell's ''Dido and Aeneas'' and Handel's ''Messiah'' to Kander and Ebb's classic musical Cabaret. Southwark Playhouse is a theatre in London, located between Borough and Elephant and Castle tube stations. History The Southwark Playhouse Theatre Company was founded in 1993 by Juliet Alderdice and Tom Wilson.
