He previously served as Minister of Tourism and Wildlife of Somalia under Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed's presidency. On 9 August 2014, Mohamud was appointed Minister of Health by Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed. He replaced Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud at the position. Said Hussein Iid ( so, Siciid Xuseen Ciid, ar, سعيد حسين عيد) is a Somali politician. He hails from the northeastern Puntland region of Somalia, and belongs to the Arab Salah Meheri clan. Iid previously served as the Chairman of the Puntland Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. In January 2015, he was briefly named the new Minister of Health-designate of Somalia by Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke. However, he only served 2 weeks when on 17 January 2015, Prime Minister Sharmarke dissolved his newly nominated cabinet due to vehement opposition by legislators, who rejected the reappointment of certain former ministers. Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed ( so, Cabdulaahi Yuusuf Axmed, ar, عبدالله يوسف أحمد‎; 15 December 1934 – 23 March 2012) was a Somali politician and former colonel in the Somali National Army. He was one of the founders of the Somali Salvation Democratic Front, as well as the Puntland State of Somalia, the latter of which he served as the first president.
