Ali Kaffashian
Ali Kafashian ( fa, علی کفاشیان, born on 6 August 1954 in Nain, Iran, Nain) is an Iranian businessman, economist, a retired athlete and former president of the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran, a position he had held from 1 March 2008 to 7 May 2016. As of May 2015, he also serves as one of five Vice presidents at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). He previously served as Secretary General of Iran's National Olympic Committee from 2004 until 2008. Kaffashian was elected as President of Iranian Football Federation in 2008, in a race with no other contenders, and was re-elected in March 2012, after he defeated Hossein Gharib. He is also an employee of Central Bank of Iran. Suspension In June 2019, Ali Kafashian and Abbas Torabian were suspended by the Iranian Football Federation's Ethic Committee for financial corruption. Nain, Iran
Nain ( fa, نایین or نائين, also Romanized as Nāīn & Nāein) is a city and capital of Nain County, Isfahan Province, Iran. At the 2011 census, its population was 25,379 in 7,730 families. Nain (also known as Naein and Naeen) lies 170 km north of Yazd and 140 km east of Esfahan with an area of almost 35,000 km², Nain lies at an altitude of 1545 m above sea level. Shahid Behesti University ( fa, دانشگاه شهید بهشتی , Dāneshgāh-e Shahid Beheshti) (formerly known as the National University of Iran) is a public research university in Tehran, Iran. The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in Oceania Football Confederation, OFC, joined AFC in 2006. Abbas Torabian (عباس ترابیان, born 12 January 1952, Tehran, Iran) is the former team manager of Iran national football team and the current head of futsal committee in Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation. He was deputy chairman of the Esteghlal FC from 1998 to 2008, and was appointed as head of the futsal committee by Ali Kafashian in November 2008. He became team manager and director of Iran national football team in April 2011 after his successful talks with Carlos Queiroz to become head coach of the national team but resigned in November 2011 to continue his career at the futsal committee. Mohsen Safaei Farahani ( fa, محسن صفایی فراهانی) is an Iranian reformist politician. Career He is a member of Mosharekat Party, the main reformist party in Iran under President Khatami. He was a Majlis representative from Tehran from 1999 to 2003. He was also the President of the Iranian Football Federation from 1998 to 2002.
