Ali Jabbari
Ali Jabbari is an Iranian former football midfielder who played for Iran in the 1972 Summer Olympics. He also played for Taj SC. On 13 May 1972 during a group match at the 1972 AFC Asian Cup, Iran were trailing 2–0 to Thailand. Ali Jabbari turned the match around with a hat-trick in the space of 8 minutes, with goals in 80', 86' and 88', giving Iran first place in the group. He scored again in the final in which Iran beat South Korea. The Iranian football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for football clubs in Iran. Structure The current structure has been in place since 2001. The Persian Gulf Pro League (PGL) is the highest level of club football in Iran. It is also called the Pro League. Below it is the Azadegan League, also known as the 1st division and called the League 1, which consists of one twenty-team group. One level further down from that is the 2nd division, also known as a League 2 which is made up of 40 teams evenly distributed into four groups.
