Algirdas Paleckis
Algirdas Paleckis (born 20 May 1971) is a Lithuanian diplomat, politician, columnist, leader of the political movement The Dawn of Justice. Šiauliai district court convicted Paleckis for spying for Russia in July 2021. The conviction was upheld by the Lithuanian Court of Appeal in May 2022. Biography Algirdas Paleckis was born on 20 May 1971, in Bern, Switzerland, the son of Soviet diplomat Justas Vincas Paleckis. His grandfather was Justas Paleckis, a journalist and a foreign correspondent in 1930s who later became a communist and the speaker of the Supreme Soviet of Lithuanian SSR following the Soviet invasion. In 1994, Paleckis graduated from Vilnius University with a master's degree in journalism and international relations. The National Press Club is a professional organization and social community in Washington, D.C. for journalists and communications professionals. It hosts public and private gatherings with invited speakers from public life. Front Party
The Front Party ( lt, Fronto partija, abbreviated FRONTAS) was a socialist political party in Lithuania established in 2008 by Algirdas Paleckis. It participated in the 2008 Lithuanian parliamentary elections but failed to reach the 5% cutoff and sent no members to the Seimas. On December 19, 2009 the party merged with the Lithuanian Socialist Party to establish a new political party, the Socialist People's Front. Ideology The party is considered socialist, clearly advancing leftist values and advocating reforms to the Lithuanian Constitution. The party supports an interventionist policy on economic matters ("The market must be regulated and limited"). The party promised during the parliamentary elections to reduce the number of Seimas members to 121 and to expand the powers of the president. Monika Navickienė (born 25 June 1981 in Telšiai) is a Lithuanian politician, a Member of the Seimas for Naujoji Vilnia constituency. She previous was an Executive Secretary of Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrats from 2013 to 2016. Designate as the Vice Chairwoman of the Homeland Union in 2017. The Lithuanian litas ( ISO currency code LTL, symbolized as Lt; plural ''litai'' (nominative) or ''litų'' (genitive) was the currency of Lithuania, until 1 January 2015, when it was replaced by the euro. It was divided into 100 centų (genitive case; singular ''centas'', nominative plural ''centai'').
