Alfredo Fiorito
Alfredo Fiorito is an Argentinian DJ. He has been credited as the "Father of the Balearic beat". After emigrating to Spain and arriving on the Balearic island of Ibiza in September 1976, Alfredo became a DJ at Amnesia, where his eclectic DJ style had a major influence on dance music's explosion on the island and beyond in the late 1980s. Early life Fiorito was born in the city of Rosario in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. His early working life was focused on training to become a journalist, and eventually he worked as a music critic on a newspaper. In 1976, at the age of 23, he emigrated to mainland Spain. After a short period he relocated to Ibiza. Ibiza Fiorito took various jobs following his arrival on Ibiza, including candlemaker, delivery driver and fashion designer. Nicky Holloway
Nicky Holloway (born 12 June 1963) is an English DJ and record producer, who rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s, and has been called "a prototype of the superstar DJ". Biography Nicholas Holloway was born in Isleworth, London. He began playing records in the disco pub scene around the Old Kent Road in 1980. He first started to organise club nights, such as Special Branch in London Bridge in 1984 alongside Pete Tong and Gilles Peterson. Holloway (with Paul Oakenfold, Johnny Walker and Danny Rampling) was one of the "Ibiza four" - four DJs who travelled to the island for a holiday in the summer of 1987. Heaven is a superclub in Charing Cross, London, England. It has a long association with London's LGBT scene and is home to long-running gay night G-A-Y. The club is known for Paul Oakenfold's acid house events in the 1980s, the underground nightclub festival Megatripolis, and for being the birthplace of ambient house. Soundshaft also hosted Future, a regular night on Thursdays run by Andrew Weatherall and Terry Farley. At the end of the night, both crowds would come together when the doors connecting Heaven & Future opened for the last couple of songs.
