Alfie Plant
Alfie Charles Plant (born 6 July 1992) is an English professional golfer. He came to prominence by winning the Silver Medal, as the leading amateur, at the 2017 Open Championship. Amateur career Plant was runner-up at the 2015 English Amateur at Alwoodley Golf Club, Leeds losing 9&7 to Joe Dean in the 36 hole final. Plant played for England in the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy were the team finished second, their best ever finish in the event. Later in 2016 he won the Lytham Trophy with a score of 284 to win by seven shots. Plant won the 2017 European Amateur at Walton Heath Golf Club. Plant was tied with two Italians, Luca Cianchetti and Lorenzo Scalise, on 273 after 72 holes. After a three-hole playoff, Plant and Scalise were still tied, but Plant finally won with a birdie at the fifth extra hole. Bexley
Bexley is an area of south-eastern Greater London, England and part of the London Borough of Bexley. 2021 Challenge Tour
The 2021 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Similarly to 2020, the season was to begin in February with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, but in mid-January the South African swing was postponed to April–May over COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The official schedule announcement was made on 27 January 2021. In April two back-to-back events in Sweden in May were added. In August, it was announced that the Hainan Open and the Foshan Open; both played in China, were cancelled. The 2017 European Amateur Team Championship took place 11–15 July at Diamond Country Club, in Atzenbrugg, Austria. It was the 34th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The hosting Diamond Championship Course at Diamond Country Club, surrounding a centrally located 10-hectare artificial lake, located in Atzenbrugg in the district of Tulln in the Austrian state of Lower Austria, 35 kilometres west of the city center of capital Vienna, was designed by Jeremy Pern and opened in 2002. The 2016 European Amateur Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Golf de Chantilly, outside Paris, France. It was the 33rd men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. The European Amateur Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for men organised by the European Golf Association which was introduced in 1959. The championship was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012).
