Alfa Romeo Diva
The Alfa Romeo Diva is a concept car produced by Italian automobile manufacturer Alfa Romeo, first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006. The car was developed through a collaboration between Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, Fiat Group's research centre Elasis and the Espera design school led by Franco Sbarro. The design of the car is inspired by the iconic Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, making use of the butterfly doors. Although the car has the characteristic Alfa-nose, the nose also resembles that of a Formula One car. Alfa Romeo Automobiles S.p.A. () is an Italian luxury car manufacturer and a subsidiary of Stellantis. The company was founded on 24 June 1910, in Milan, Italy. Butterfly doors are a type of car door sometimes seen on high-performance cars. They are slightly different from scissor doors. While scissor doors move straight up via hinge points at the bottom of a car's A-pillar, butterfly doors move up and out via hinges along the A-pillar. The Alfa Romeo 159 (Type 939) is a compact executive car manufactured and marketed by Alfa Romeo between 2004 and 2011. Introduced at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, as a replacement for the 156, the 159 used the GM/Fiat Premium platform, shared with the Alfa Romeo Brera and Spider as well as the Kamal and Visconti concept cars. The 159 placed third in the 2006 European Car of the Year awards. Production of the 159 ended in November 2011, with 247,661 cars manufactured. The 159's late transition to what was fundamentally made as an E segment platform resulted in the 159 having excessive weight, a problem shared by the Brera coupé and Spider. Sbarro is a small Swiss high-performance replica and sports car company founded by Franco Sbarro in 1971. Models The first Sbarro offered was a replica of the Lola T70, powered by a 5.4-litre Chevrolet V8. Since then, the company has produced small-series replicas of a variety of models including the BMW 328, Ford GT40, Bugatti Royale and Mercedes-Benz 540K. Arese ( lmo, Ares ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, about northwest of Milan. Arese borders the following municipalities: Lainate, Garbagnate Milanese, Bollate, Rho, Milan. Arese was awarded the honorary title of city by presidential decree of 25 October 1985. Wolfgang Josef Egger (born 13 February 1963) is a car designer from Germany, a former Audi Group head designer, and currently a BYD Group head designer. Biography Egger was born in Oberstdorf, Germany, and studied Design at the International College of Arts and Sciences in Milan, Italy. In 1989, he graduated as an industrial designer.
