Alf Prøysen
Alf Prøysen () (23 July 1914 – 23 November 1970) was a Norwegian author, poet, playwright, songwriter and musician. Prøysen was one of the most important Norwegian cultural personalities in the second half of the 20th century. He worked in several different media including books, newspapers and records. He also made significant contributions to music as well as to television and radio. He also wrote in the ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1954 until his death. He was also noted for his series of books featuring ''Mrs. Pepperpot'' (Norwegian: ''Teskjekjerringa''). The fictional character of a series of children's books established him as a children's author. The series of books were first published during 1956 and was first published in English in 1959. is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Hedemarken. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Brumunddal. Alf Rolfsen
Alf Rolfsen (28 January 1895 – 10 November 1979) was a Norwegian painter and muralist. Personal life Rolfsen was born in Oslo, Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of writer Nordahl Rolfsen (1848-1928) and Hedevig Martha Hastrup Birch (1858–1937). He was married to Ingrid Platou (1893–1980) in 1920. He was a cousin of both poet Nordahl Grieg (1902–1943) and publisher Harald Grieg (1894–1972). Career He studied art under Danish artist Peter Rostrup Bøyesen (1882-1952) in Copenhagen from 1913-16. He debuted in Copenhagen in 1916, followed by study in Paris from 1919-20 where he was strongly influenced by André Derain (1880–1954). After returning home, he held his first solo exhibition at Oslo in 1920. Rolfsen followed with a series of study trips to Italy during 1921-22. The Arts Council Norway Honorary Award ( no, Norsk kulturråds ærespris) is awarded annually by the Arts Council Norway. The prize is awarded annually to a person who has made a significant contribution to Norwegian art and culture. Hans Peter L'Orange (2 March 1903 – 5 December 1983) was a Norwegian art historian and classical archaeologist. Biography L'Orange was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was a son of Major General Hans Wilhelm L'Orange (1868–1950) and Ginni Gulbranson (1879–1949). His family had its origin from among the French Huguenots. He was a paternal grandson of military officer Hans Peter L'Orange (1835–1907), maternal grandson of businessowner Carl August Gulbranson (1831–1910) and brother-in-law of journalist and writer, Gunnar Larsen (1900–1958). Elisabeth Granneman (born Inger Elisabeth Fauk; 11 May 1930 – 28 March 1992) was a Norwegian singer, songwriter, children's writer and actress. Biography Granneman was born as Inger Elisabeth Fauk in Bergen, Norway to Karl O. Fauk (1909–1976), a sailor and chef, and his wife, Ruth (1896–1980). In her youth, she was a student of classical pianist Robert Riefling (1911–1988) in Lørenskog. Knut Olav Åmås (born 19 January 1968) is a Norwegian writer, editor and politician for the Conservative Party. He hails from Odda.
