Alexie Guay
Alexie Guay (born January 8, 2001) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman, currently playing for the Boston College Eagles in the Hockey East (HEA) conference of the NCAA Division I. Playing career Guay played on boys' teams until the end of peewee AAA, notably serving as team captain of the Harfangs du Triolet. She began her high school with the women's ice hockey team of Stanstead College, playing under head coach Sarah Vaillancourt. As a senior, she transferred to the North American Hockey Academy (NAHA) and played with NAHA White in the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL). She finished the 2018–19 JWHL season averaging a point-per-game. In 2019, she begin attending Boston College and joined the college's women's ice hockey program. She scored 19 points in 36 games in her rookie NCAA year, third among all rookie NCAA defenders, and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. Magog, Quebec
Magog (; ) is a city in southeastern Quebec, Canada, about east of Montreal at the confluence of Lake Memphremagog—after which the city was named—with the Rivière aux Cerises and the Magog River. The 2018 IIHF Women's U18 World Championship was the 11th Women's U18 World Championship in ice hockey. It was played at the Ice Palace in Dmitrov, Russia from 6 to 13 January 2018. The USA won for the seventh time, for the first time defeating someone other than Canada in the gold medal game. Sweden took silver, while Canada took bronze beating host Russia. The Vegas Golden Knights are a professional ice hockey team based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. 2022 NHL Entry Draft
The 2022 NHL Entry Draft was the 60th NHL Entry Draft. The draft was held on July 7–8, 2022, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. Montreal were originally scheduled to host the 2020 draft but were unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the first time since 1985, the team hosting the draft selected first overall. The first three selections were Juraj Slafkovsky going to the hosting Montreal Canadiens, Simon Nemec being selected by the New Jersey Devils, and Logan Cooley being picked by the Arizona Coyotes. The Trois-Rivières Lions are a professional minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL based in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams scattered across the United States and Canada. François Guay
François Guay (born June 8, 1968) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. Guay was born in Gatineau, Quebec. As a youth, he played in the 1980 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Brossard. He was drafted in the eighth round, 152nd overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. He played just one game in the National Hockey League with the Sabres, appearing in a single contest during the 1989–90 season. He did not score a point.
