Alexandre Texier
Alexandre Texier (born 13 September 1999) is a French professional ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward for the ZSC Lions of the National League (ice hockey), National League (NL) on loan from the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Texier was started his career with the Brûleurs de Loups in the French Ligue Magnus. He was selected by the Blue Jackets in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, the first player drafted directly out of the French domestic league. He then spent two seasons with KalPa of Liiga, the top league in Finland, moving to North America and making his NHL debut in 2019. Internationally Texier has represented France men's national ice hockey team, France at the junior and senior level. Playing career Texier grew up playing for Brûleurs de Loups in Grenoble, France, the same club his father Fabrice played for from 1989 until 1992. NHL Central Scouting Bureau
The NHL Central Scouting Services (CSS) is a department within the National Hockey League that ranks prospects for the NHL Entry Draft at specific times during the hockey season. Players are ranked based on how well they will translate to the professional game in the National Hockey League. It was founded by hockey executive Jack Button in 1975 to establish a centralized database of NHL prospects. Button served as the director until 1979. Its current director is Dan Marr. The Department consists of staff at the NHL Offices in Toronto, along with eight full-time scouts, and fifteen part-time scouts throughout North America. 2017–18 Liiga Season
The 2017–18 Liiga season was the 43rd season of the SM-liiga (branded simply as "Liiga"), the top level of ice hockey in Finland, since the league's formation in 1975. Tappara was the season as a defending champion. This season included a record number of matches played on Fridays and Saturdays. In autumn, there was a national team break from 5 November until 13 November. The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (french: Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec; abbreviated ''QMJHL'' in English, ''LHJMQ'' in French) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues that constitute the Canadian Hockey League.
