Alexandra Carlson
Alexandra "Alex" Agre (born December 14, 1988 as Alexandra Carlson) is an American curler. Curling career Junior Agre is a two-time United States Junior Curling Champion with teammates Tabitha Peterson, Tara Peterson and Sophie Brorson, winning in 2009 and 2010. Representing the United States, Agre skipped her team at the 2009 World Junior Curling Championships, finishing in fifth place. At the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships, she led her team to a bronze medal. Women's In 2014, Agre joined the Erika Brown rink for one season, playing third. The team would go on to win the 2015 United States Women's Curling Championship. The next season, Agre returned to skipping a team before joining the Jamie Sinclair rink in 2016 as her third. In their first season together, they would win the 2017 United States Women's Curling Championship and would play in the 2017 Continental Cup of Curling. 2018 Players' Championship
The 2018 Players' Championship was held from April 10 to 15, 2018 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario. It was the seventh men's and sixth women's Grand Slam event of the 2017–18 World Curling Tour. On the men's side, Calgary's Kevin Koe won his first Players' Championship as a skip (he had previously won in 2004 playing third for John Morris). On the women's side, Minnesota's Jamie Sinclair rink became the first American ever team to win a Grand Slam championship. Erika Brown
Erika Lynn Brown (born January 25, 1973) is an American curler, currently residing in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. She started curling in 1980 and throws right-handed. Career As a 15-year-old, Brown represent the United States at the 1988 Winter Olympics when curling was a demonstration event. Brown played third on the team, skipped by Lisa Schoeneberg, and the team finished fifth. Brown then had a successful junior career, representing the United States at six (1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994) World Junior Curling Championships, winning silver in 1992 and 1994 and a bronze in 1993. Brown has participated in sixteen different United States National Championships, beginning with a second-place finish in 1991. Scott Baird
Scott Baird (born May 7, 1951) is an American curler. At 54, he is the oldest American athlete to ever participate in the Winter Olympics, which he did at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Despite this feat, Baird was only the alternate for Pete Fenson's U.S. team and did not throw a stone, although he still received a bronze medal. On January 16, 2007, the team was named the 2006 USOC Team of the Year. In addition to the Olympics, Baird has skipped the U.S. team to three World Championship events (1979, 1993 & 1994), winning bronze in 1993. In 2003, Baird skipped the U.S. team to the silver medal at World Seniors Championship. In 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2011, Baird was the alternate player for Pete Fenson at the World Championships. Victoria "Vicky" Persinger (born June 1, 1992) is an American curler from Fairbanks, Alaska. She is a three-time United States Women's National Champion. Career Persinger competed in eight United States Junior Championships, winning gold at her last appearance in 2013. As national champions, they represented the United States at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Östersund, Sweden, where they finished in seventh place with a 4–5 record. Monica Walker
Monica Walker (born February 20, 1987) is an American curler originally from Brighton, Massachusetts. She is a three-time national champion. Curling career Walker began curling in 1997. In adult competitions, she placed 4th at the U.S. National Championships in 2012 and again in 2013. In 2016 Walker and Persinger left Roth's team to join Jamie Sinclair as the front end of a new team, with Alex Carlson as third. This new team found success, winning the 2017 U.S. Championships, but missed out on going to the World Championship due to not having enough points on the World Curling Tour. Walker and Team Sinclair competed for the winning Team North America at the 2017 Continental Cup of Curling.
