Alexander Wilson (English Writer)
Alexander Joseph Patrick Wilson (24 October 18934 April 1963) was an English writer, spy and MI6 officer. He wrote under the names Alexander Wilson, Geoffrey Spencer, Gregory Wilson, and Michael Chesney. After his death, his family discovered that he had been a serial Polygamy, polygamist who had lied to many people. As of 2018, documents that could shed light on his activities remain classified as "sensitive" by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, under section 3(4) of the Public Records Act 1958. The effect of his deceptions on his wives and descendants were dramatised in the 2018 BBC miniseries ''Mrs. Wilson (miniseries), Mrs Wilson'', in which his granddaughter, actress Ruth Wilson, portrayed her grandmother, Alison (Wilson's third wife). Alex Wilson (born July 15, 1974) was an Olympic athlete on the U.S. Ski Team who competed in the freestyle skiing events of moguls and dual moguls. In 55 World Cup starts, Wilson was on the podium twice, one of those a win in Moguls in Heavenly, California, on January 23, 1999. His best world ranking was 5th in 2000 in Moguls. He placed 10th in Moguls in the 1998 Olympics, his only Olympic appearance. His best World Ski Championships result was 7th in Moguls in Meiringen-Hasliberg, Switzerland, on March 10, 1999. Wilson graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2005. Alexander Wilson LRIBA (26 December 1888 - 30 April 1969) was an architect based in Nottingham. Some of his most significant work include the 900 houses built on the Beeston Rylands estate in the late 1930s. Architectural career He entered into a partnership with Nehemiah Rigley as Architects, Surveyors and Land Agents, based at offices at 13 St Peter's Gate, Nottingham, but this partnership was dissolved in 1926. Later he was based in offices at 45 Burton St, Nottingham. He undertook a significant development in designing 900 houses to be built in Beeston south of Beeston railway station on an 57-acre estate which was then called Cliftonside, but is now known as Beeston Rylands. Alexander Brown Wilson (5 June 1857, in Glasgow, Strathclyde, Scotland – 5 May 1938, in Kangaroo Point, Queensland, Australia) was an architect in Queensland, Australia. A number of his works are listed on the Queensland Heritage Register. Life Alexander Wilson was the fourth son of George Wilson, a silk merchant, and Margaret Watson. Alexander Stoddart Wilson (1854–1909) was a Scottish minister of the Free Church of Scotland who was also a scientist, serving as interim Professor of Botany at Glasgow University. Alexander Wilson (171416 October 1786) was a Scottish surgeon, type-founder, astronomer, mathematician and meteorologist. He was the first scientist to use kites in meteorological investigations. Alex Wilson (born 21 March 1994) is an Australian professional basketball player. Career WNBL After gaining national attention as a 16-year-old, Wilson signed as a development player with the Adelaide Lightning for the 2010–11 season, where she would make her WNBL debut.
