Alexander Bryan Johnson
Alexander Bryan Johnson (May 29, 1786, Gosport, Hampshire, Eng. — September 9, 1867, Utica, N.Y., U.S.), was a British-born American philosopher and semanticist. He immigrated to the United States as a child and worked as a banker in Utica, New York. He wrote about economics, language, and the nature of knowledge. Biography Of Netherlandic and Jewish ancestry, he was born in Gosport, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom and at age 16 he emigrated to the United States, and settled at Utica, where he was a banker for many years. He was admitted to the bar, but never practised. Johnson died on the 9th of September 1867, at the age of 81, and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. Alex "Superman" Johnson (born January 18, 1988) is a Canadian professional basketball player who is currently a member of the London Lightning of the National Basketball League of Canada He played college basketball at Cal State Bakersfield and then NC State. Johnson attended high school at Vaughan Road Academy in Toronto, Ontario. As a professional, he was named an NBL Canada All-Star with the Mississauga Power. Johnson was drafted with the first overall pick in the 2013 NBL Canada draft by the Ottawa SkyHawks. Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (; born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer and journalist who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party from 2019 to 2022. Alex Johnson QFSM (born 1967) is a British firefighter, named the “Most Influential Woman in Fire” at the Excellence in Fire and Emergency Awards in December 2019. In January 2020, she started serving as the Chief Fire Officer of South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority (SYFRA). When Johnson started out as a firefighter in Derbyshire in 1992, aged 24, only 1% of firefighters in the UK were women. Alexander Johnson (5 December 1917 – 31 July 1944) was an English professional association football, footballer who played as a Full back (association football), full back in the English Football League, Football League for Norwich City F.C., Norwich City. Personal life Johnson was married. He served as a corporal in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. Alexandra Johnson (born April 3, 1989) is an American rock climber who has made numerous first female ascents, including ''Clear Blue Skies'' in Colorado, and ''Book of Nightmares'' and ''Lethal Design'' in Red Rocks. Her highest rated send, as of 2022, was “The Swarm” in Bishop. In 2009, she won the overall American Bouldering Series, and has twice won individual stages in the annual Bouldering World Cup series. Alex Johnson (born 2 March 1992) is a former professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). Alexander Lange Johnson (26 October 1910 – 20 April 1989) was a Norwegian priest, resistance member during World War II, bishop of Hamar, and biographer. He was born in Antsirabe, Madagascar. He played a leading role in the Norwegian civil resistance during the German occupation of Norway, being a member of the Coordination Committee, and later also Hjemmefrontens Ledelse. He was a bishop of the diocese of Hamar from 1964 to 1974. He wrote a biography on Eivind Berggrav in 1959.
