Alex Russell (actor)
Alexander Andrew Russell (born 11 December 1987) is an Australian actor and director. He is known for starring in the films ''Chronicle'' (2012) and '' Believe Me'' (2014). Since 2017, Russell has portrayed Jim Street in the CBS crime action-drama series ''S.W.A.T.'' Early life Russell was born in Brisbane and grew up in Rockhampton, Queensland. He is the son of surgeon Dr. Andrew Russell and nurse Frances Russell. He has a younger brother, Dominic, and a younger sister, Georgiana. He finished studies at Rockhampton Grammar School in 2004 and afterward attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. Career Russell made his debut in the 2010 film ''Wasted on the Young''. In 2011, he appeared in two short films, ''The Best Man'' and ''Halloween Knight''. He directed a short film as well, titled ''Love and Dating in L.A.'', which was featured on El Rey Network's ''Peoples Showcase: Horror Edition''. Alexander John Russell (born 17 March 1973) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. His father, Alex Russell played professionally for Southport, Blackburn Rovers, Tranmere Rovers and Los Angeles Aztecs. In January 2008 Russell joined League One side Cheltenham Town on a one-month loan. On 31 January, Russell's loan was extended to the end of the season. He signed permanently for Cheltenham Town on 17 June 2008 after he was released by Bristol City. Joined League Two side Exeter City on loan in February 2009 until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. He signed a permanent one-year deal with Exeter City in July 2009. On 14 May 2010, it was announced that he had been released by Exeter, along with eight other players. On 4 January 2011, it was announced that a move to League One Yeovil Town had been finalised. Alex Russell was a footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League for Southport, Blackburn Rovers, Tranmere Rovers and Crewe Alexandra. Alexander Russell (18 January 1923 – 24 February 2014) was a Northern Irish footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career Russell made over 600 appearances for Linfield, winning 39 medals. He earned one cap for Northern Ireland in 1946. Personal life Russell was born on 18 January 1923 in Kells, County Antrim. Alex Russell (golfer)
Alex Russell MC (4 June 1892 – 22 November 1961) was an Australian grazier, soldier, golfer and golf course architect. Russell was born at Geelong to grazier Philip Russell and Mary Gray, ''née'' Guthrie. He was sent to Glenalmond College in Scotland for his early schooling before returning to Australia, where he attended Geelong Grammar School, from which he graduated in 1911 having won distinction in both academic and sporting pursuits. He travelled to England in 1912 to study engineering at Cambridge University. He married Jess Lucy Fairbairn, daughter of Frederick Fairbairn, on 14 September 1917 at Chelsea. Commissioned in the Royal Garrison Artillery on 9 October 1914, Russell served on the Western Front during World War I, where he was twice wounded, won the Military Cross, and in 1918 was promoted acting major.
