Alex Rullo
Alexander Rullo (born 15 June 2000) is an Australian racing car driver. He currently drives in the TCR Australia Series for Kelly Racing. He is also co-driving with Simona de Silvestro in the No. 78 Nissan Altima in the Pirtek Enduro Cup. In February 2017 it was confirmed that Rullo would race in the 2017 Supercars Championship for Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport and become the youngest driver in the championship's history. Racing career V8 Touring Car Series Alex Rullo made his debut in the V8 Touring Car National Series at the age of 14, winning a race in his second event. He managed to win four races out of the 15 contested and finished the season second overall for MW Motorsport. 2016 Australian GT Championship
The 2016 CAMS Australian GT Championship was a CAMS-sanctioned Australian motor racing championship open to FIA GT3 cars. It was the 20th running of the Australian GT Championship. The championship began on 3 March 2016 at the Adelaide Street Circuit and ended on 13 November at Highlands Motorsport Park, with five rounds held in Australia and one round in New Zealand. The 2016 season marked an expansion in Australian GT racing, with a separate endurance championship, the CAMS Australian Endurance Championship, being run for GT cars for the first time. Holden Astra
The Holden Astra is a small car formerly marketed by Holden. The first couple of generations of Astra were made only for Australia, and was a derivative of the locally produced Nissan Pulsar. With the Button car plan coming into effect, it was replaced by the Holden Nova, a rebadged Toyota Corolla. In 1995, Holden commenced selling the TR Astra in New Zealand. The TR was a badge engineered version of the Opel Astra, which had been sold locally as an Opel since 1993. Holden discontinued the Nova line in Australia in favour of Opel's TR. The 1999 Shell Championship Series was a motor racing series for V8 Supercars which began on 28 March 1999 at Eastern Creek Raceway and ended on 14 November at the Mount Panorama Circuit after 13 rounds. Paul Dumbrell
Paul Dumbrell (born 1 September 1982) is an Australian business executive and retired racing driver. Racing history Junior career Son of former racing driver Garry Dumbrell, Paul Dumbrell started racing in karts in 1996 and by the end of 1997 Dumbrell was looking to further his racing. He was educated at Xavier College in Kew, Melbourne and resides in Melbourne, Australia. He competed in the Australian Sprint Kart National Championships in April 1998. He then attended a driving course at Sandown Raceway where he briefly drove the ex Craig Lowndes Van Diemen RF85. Paul then attended the Jim Russell International School of Racing in England. During the course, Dumbrell drove a Formula Vauxhall. At age 15 he was the youngest in the class and even though he was the fastest graduate from the school, he was ineligible for the final race, for which drivers had to be 16.
