Alex Johns
Alex Johns (August 23, 1966 – August 7, 2010) was an American film and television producer. Johns is best known for his work as the co-producer of more than seventy episodes of the animated television series ''Futurama''. He was also the co-executive producer of the 2006 film '' The Ant Bully''. Early life Johns was born in Roseville, California, on August 23, 1966, the son of Xandria Walker and Wendell Johns (who predeceased him). Johns was one of five brothers, along with Michael, Christopher and Daniel Johns, and David Cimino. He was the grandson of actor Steve Cochran (1917–1965). Johns graduated from Escalon High School in Escalon, California, in 1984. He attended both San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. The American animated science fiction sitcom ''Futurama'', created and developed by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen for the Fox Broadcasting Company, aired on Fox from March 28, 1999, to August 10, 2003. Following a commitment from 20th Century Fox Television to produce four straight-to-DVD ''Futurama'' films, Comedy Central announced in June 2006 that they were resurrecting the show and would air the films as new ''Futurama'' episodes, reconfiguring each film into four episodes, to constitute a fifth season. Comedy Central broadcast the first film on March 23, 2008. Following the four films, Comedy Central broadcast a sixth season of twenty-six episodes, split over 2010 and 2011. "The Mutants Are Revolting" is the twelfth episode of the sixth season of the American animated sitcom '' Futurama'' and is the 100th episode of the series. It aired on Comedy Central on September 2, 2010, as a mid-season finale, with remaining episodes broadcast in November 2010 and in 2011. In the episode, the Planet Express crew celebrate their 100th delivery. Leela's status as a mutant is exposed to the public and she is deported from the surface and forced to live with other mutants in the sewers. She recognizes the inequality with which mutants are forced to live and rallies them together in an equal rights revolt against the surface dwellers. The more general term computer-generated imagery (CGI) encompasses both static scenes ( still images) and dynamic images (moving images), while computer animation refers to moving images. Sir John Alexander Macdonald (January 10 or 11, 1815 – June 6, 1891) was the first prime minister of Canada, serving from 1867 to 1873 and from 1878 to 1891.
