Alex Jackson (footballer, Born 1905)
Alexander Skinner Jackson (12 May 1905 – 15 November 1946) was a Scottish footballer who played for clubs including Dumbarton, Bethlehem Steel, Aberdeen, Huddersfield Town, Chelsea and Nice; he won the English Football League title with Huddersfield in 1925–26. Jackson received 17 international caps for Scotland over a five-year period, and was a member of the 1928 team that became known as the 'Wembley Wizards' after defeating England 5–1 in London, scoring three of those goals. Football career Club Jackson was born and raised in Renton. A highly talented outside right, known as ''the Gay Cavalier'', he was particularly adept at dribbling and free kicks. He initially played for Renton Victoria but was transferred to Dumbarton in 1922 for the pre-inflation price of a football. Alex Jackson (footballer, Born 1935)
Alexander James Jackson (born 28 November 1935) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Birmingham City and Plymouth Argyle. He played primarily as a centre forward, but Plymouth also used him as an inside forward. Career Jackson was born in Glasgow where he grew up with Sisters Jean and Shirley, and brother Jim. He joined Birmingham City from junior club Shettleston for a fee of £2,000 in April 1958. He made his debut in the First Division on 15 November 1958, deputising for Eddy Brown in a home game against Newcastle United which Birmingham won 1–0. Jackson had a run of five games at centre forward a few weeks later, but despite scoring six goals in those five games, his first-team football was restricted to the FA Cup thereafter, and new arrival Robin Stubbs stepped into the league side. Alexander James Jackson (born December 25, 1995) is an American professional baseball catcher and outfielder in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins, and Milwaukee Brewers. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft. Amateur career Jackson attended Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego County, California. In 2012 and 2013, he played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game at Wrigley Field.
