Alex Dunbar
Alex Dunbar (born 23 April 1990) is a retired Scotland international rugby union player. His regular playing position was Centre. Rugby Union career Amateur career Born in Dumfries and a former pupil of Lockerbie Academy, Dunbar graduated in 2008 with an HNC from the Scottish Agricultural College at Auchincruive in Ayrshire. Dunbar has appeared for Glasgow at every age level from under-14 to under-18 and was Annan rugby club under-18 player of the year in both 2005 and 2006 and the following season. He moved from Annan RFC to Selkirk RFC in 2008. Dunbar was drafted to Glasgow Hawks in the Scottish Premiership for the 2017-18 season. Dunbar was drafted to Ayr in the Scottish Premiership for the 2018-19 season. Dumfries
Dumfries ( ; sco, Dumfries; from gd, Dùn Phris ) is a market town and former royal burgh within the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. It is located near the mouth of the River Nith into the Solway Firth about by road from the Anglo-Scottish border and just away from Cumbria by air. The Top 14 () is a professional rugby union club competition that is played in France. Created in 1892, the Top 14 is at the top of the national league system operated by the French National Rugby League, also known by its French initialism of LNR. There is promotion and relegation between the Top 14 and the next level down, the Rugby Pro D2. The fourteen best rugby teams in France participate in the competition, hence the name Top 14. The competition was previously known as the Top 16. The United Rugby Championship (URC) is an annual rugby union competition involving professional teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales. The current name was adopted in 2021 when the league expanded to include four South African teams previously from the SANZAR Super Rugby competition. Ravenhill Stadium (known as the Kingspan Stadium for sponsorship reasons) is a rugby stadium located in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is the home of Ulster Rugby.
