Alex Chubrevich ( he, אלכס צ'וברביץ, russian: Алексей « Алекс » Чубревич; born July 23, 1986) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Maccabi Haifa B.C., Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Basketball Premier League, Israeli Premier League. A Russian-born Jew, he is 2.12 m (6 ft 11.5 in) in height, and weighs 250 pounds. Early life Until his senior year in high school Chubrevich played volleyball, before moving to basketball. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.
