Aleksandar Jovančević
Aleksandar Jovančević ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Јованчевић; born 5 June 1970) is a Serbian strength and conditioning coach and former wrestler. He was FR Yugoslavia representative in Greco-Roman wrestling. International wrestling career Jovančević competed in 82 kg men's Greco-Roman wrestling for FR Yugoslavia in 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, US and placed 9th. In 1997, he won two bronze medals at the European Wrestling Championships in Kouvola, Finland and at the Mediterranean Games in Bari, Italy. During his wrestling career he competed for wrestling clubs: Gavrilović Petrinja (1989–1991), Partizan (1992–1993) and Vojvodina (1994–1998). A strength and conditioning coach (also known as an S&C coach) is a physical performance professional who uses exercise prescription to improve the performance of competitive athletes or athletic teams. This is achieved through the combination of strength training, aerobic conditioning, and other methods. Unlike an athletic trainer, a strength and conditioning coach is focused primarily on sport performance. The coach help athletes with injury prevention, through strengthening and coaching of movement mechanics within a sport. While a personal trainer may work with individuals of all fitness levels and focus on health or fitness, strength and conditioning coaches focus on competitive athletes and improving performance in a specific sport. European Wrestling Championships
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well.
