Aleksandar Aleksandrov (footballer, Born 1975)
Aleksandar Aleksandrov ( bg, Александър Александров; born 19 January 1975 in Plovdiv) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Aleksandrov was honoured as Bulgarian Footballer of the Year in 1999 and Footballer of the Year of Varna for 2007 and for 2008. Career Aleksandar Aleksandrov began his career in his hometown of Plovdiv in the Maritsa and played there until 1997. Then his career lead him to Sofia, as Levski Sofia were interested and bought him. He entertained "The Blues" fans for four years, until the Turkish team Kocaelispor lured him from Levski. Turkish teams After two years in Kocaelispor, he changed teams and moved to Istanbulspor AS. After İstanbulspor he played in Kayserispor and Konyaspor, then signed with Ankaragucu (2006–2007). Bulgarian Cup
The Bulgarian Cup ( bg, Купа на България, Kupa na Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. The competition has been dominated by Sofia-based teams. The Sofia teams have won together a total number of 65 titles. FC Minyor ( bg, ФК Миньор) is a football club in Pernik, Bulgaria, that competes in the Second League, the second tier of Bulgarian football. Founded in 1919 as SC Krakra, the club's home ground since 1954 has been Stadion Minyor.
