''3'' is the fourth (third with WEA Latina) studio album recorded by Spanish singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz. It was released by WEA Latina on June 13, 1995 (see 1995 in music). This album reaffirmed the success obtained with his previous albums and made him popular in Europe and Latin America. The album was also recorded in Portuguese and Italian. All songs were written by Alejandro Sanz except "Quiero Morir en Tu Veneno". The official singles of the album were "La Fuerza del Corazón", "Mi Soledad y Yo", "¿Lo Ves?" and "Quiero Morir en Tu Veneno", and he shot a video for each single. Alejandro Sanz
Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro, better known as Alejandro Sanz (; born 18 December 1968), is a Spanish musician, singer and composer. Sanz has won 22 Latin Grammy Awards and four Grammy Awards. He has received the Latin Grammy for Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year, Album of the Year three times. The singer is notable for his flamenco-influenced ballads, and has also experimented with several other genres including pop music, pop, rock music, rock, funk, contemporary R&B, R&B and jazz. Born in Madrid to parents from Andalusia, Sanz began playing guitar at age seven, taking influence from his family's flamenco roots. Sanz released Los Chulos Son Pa' Cuidarlos, his debut album at age nineteen, although he did not gain commercial success in Spain until his second release, ''Viviendo Deprisa'' (1991). Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). List Of Best-selling Albums In Spain
This is a list of the best-selling albums in Spain that have been certified by the Productores de Música de España (PROMUSICAE). PROMUSICAE is in charge of certifying records in Spain. Until October 2005, the certification levels for albums in Spain were 50,000 for Gold and 100,000 for Platinum. The current levels, however, are 20,000 for Gold and 40,000 for Platinum. Of the 20 best selling albums in Spain, Spanish artists dominate the list with fourteen entries. Two Italian artists and one artist each from the United Kingdom, United States, Cuba and Mexico complete the list. Four acts - Alejandro Sanz, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Mecano, and David Bisbal - appear more than once in the list. Alejandro Sanz tops the list with his fifth album ''Más'', selling around 2.2 million copies in the country and being certified 22 times. The classical guitar (also known as the nylon-string guitar or Spanish guitar) is a member of the guitar family used in classical music and other styles. An acoustic wooden string instrument with strings made of gut or nylon, it is a precursor of the modern acoustic and electric guitars, both of which use metal strings. A backing vocalist is a singer who provides vocal harmony with the lead vocalist or other backing vocalists. Nigel Hitchcock
Nigel Hitchcock (born 4 January 1971) is an English jazz saxophonist. Biography Hitchcock began to play alto sax at the age of eight. In 1982 he and his elder brother Clive joined the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. After one year Nigel took the lead alto chair for the next five years. During this time the orchestra toured with different musicians such as Vic Damone, Buddy Greco and Al Martino. At the age of 16, Hitchcock moved to London and began his career as a session musician and also had recorded TV jingles, movie soundtracks, and pop solos. In 1989 he joined the contemporary saxophone quartet Itchy Fingers. The band toured Europe and South-East Asia for 18 months. With Itchy Fingers Hitchcock received three jazz awards: the Schlitz award for rising star, the Cleo Laine Personal Award for best young musician, and the Pat Smythe (pianist) Trust award.
