Aleida Leurink (Enschede, 24 September 1682 - Losser, 6 August 1755) was a Dutch pastor's wife who became known for the notebooks she kept for 57 years which are giving a clear picture of the time when she lived. Early life Leurink was orphaned at an early age. Both her father (the mayor of Enschede) and her mother died in 1694. Together with her sisters, Geeske, Catharina, and Judith and brother Georgius, she was entrusted to the care of her uncle, Jan Stroink. At the age of fifteen, she married the then twenty-eight-year-old Henricus Keller, a vicar in Losser on 9 March 1698. Notebooks On the day of her wedding, Aleida began writing in her notebooks. Aleida Mathilde (Ada) van Keulen (13 January 1920, in Aalsmeer – 25 January 2010, in Laren, North Holland) was a Dutch woman who took part in the resistance during World War II. Van Keulen headed a boy scout group in Hilversum, the Heidepark Group, which became illegal during the war and carried out work for the resistance. She was also a courier for Hessels en Van Wilgenburg. On June 13, 1944, she was betrayed and arrested together with 27 other resistance fighters in Amsterdam. Among others, they included Jo Hessels, Hendrik van Wilgenburg, and Joukje Grandia-Smits, all of whom were imprisoned. Of the 27, only seven survived the war. She was sent to Vught concentration camp and in September 1944 deported to Ravensbrück. In October, she was transferred to Dachau, where she was employed in the Agfa-Commando. Aleida March Torres (born 19 October 1936) is a Cuban revolutionary who was Che Guevara, Ernesto "Che" Guevara's second wife, and a member of Fidel Castro's Cuban army.
