Aled Brew
Aled Brew (born 9 August 1986) is a former Wales international rugby union player who played as a winger. He made his debut for the Wales national rugby union team against Ireland in the 2007 Six Nations Championship. In his career, as well as playing for Biarritz Olympique and Bath Rugby, he is one of only a handful of players to have played for all four top-level regional teams in Wales. Early life Brew was born in Cardiff to a Welsh mother and Ghanaian father, and was raised a Welsh language speaker in Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen. Aled Davies (rugby Union)
Aled Davies (born 19 July 1992) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays at scrum-half for Saracens. Davies, a scrum half, was born in Carmarthen, and was a member of the age grade set up in the Scarlets region for a number of seasons; playing in the Reebok Regional Championship final with the Scarlets U18 during the 2008–09 season. He then made his debut for the Scarlets in a friendly against Worcester Warriors, coming off the bench in the 43–14 win. His competitive debut came a season later in the Anglo-Welsh Cup, where Davies made a substitute appearance in a 31–3 victory over Leicester Tigers. Davies left the Scarlets at the end of the 2017–18 season, moving to their local rivals, the Ospreys. Aled Morgan Edwards (born June 1, 1962) is the founder and Chief Executive of the Structural Genomics Consortium, a charitable public-private partnership. He is Professor of Medical Genetics and Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto, Visiting Professor of Chemical Biology at the University of Oxford, and Adjunct Professor at McGill University. Aled Haydn Jones (born 9 August 1976) is a Welsh radio executive, former presenter and former radio producer. In June 2020 he was appointed head of BBC Radio 1, succeeding Ben Cooper. From 2004 until 2012 he worked on ''The Chris Moyles Show''. He was a presenter on ''The Surgery'' on BBC Radio 1 between 2009 until 2015. Aled Owen Roberts (17 July 1889 – 25 August 1949) was a Welsh Liberal, later Liberal National and finally Conservative politician, soldier and businessman. Aled Wyn Davies (born 3 August 1974) is a classical tenor from Llanbrynmair, in Powys, Mid Wales. He is a member of the Three Welsh Tenors with Rhys Meirion and Aled Hall. Early life Davies's family were evicted from the farm run by Davies's grandparents, Dai and Mary, in 1964, when the valley was flooded to create the Clywedog Reservoir. In periods of major drought, the foundations of the building are sometimes visible, so that Davies and his children have been able to visit it. The family relocated to another farm, previously run by the family of harpist Elinor Bennett. Davies will be one of the performers at Bennett's farewell concert in 2023. Career Davies is a tenor soloist who has performed in venues all over the world. Tudur Aled (c. 1465 – 1525) was a late medieval Welsh poet, born in Llansannan, Denbighshire (Sir Ddinbych). He is regarded as a master of cynghanedd. Beginnings It is uncertain when Tudur Aled started to write poetry. A remark by him in his elegy to Dafydd ab Edmwnd suggests that Tudur Aled was his pupil. Åled is a locality situated in Halmstad Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 1,775 inhabitants as of 2020. The community is located just over 10 km northeast of Halmstad. The Nissan river runs through the area. Spånstad is located in the northwestern part of the village, and Enslöv is in the east. Northeast of Åled there is a small lake named Torsjön and "Gröta håla" (a giant's kettle). History The area around Åled has been built up for a longer time, with the church village of Enslöv being mentioned by name already in the 14th century. In the late 1800s the locality Åled formed as the newly constructed railway allowed indudstry to be built.
