Aldo Capitanio
Aldo Capitanio (May 28, 1952 – September 19, 2001) was an Italian comic book artist. He was born in Camisano Vicentino ( Veneto). After obtaining a degree at the Institute of Arts and Crafts in Padua, he debuted as artist in 1970 on the periodical ''Il Santo dei Miracoli''. Two years later he was published on Luciano Secchi's '' Eureka'', and, in 1973, he became a collaborator of '' Il Giornalino'', for which he realized adventure stories. In the 1970s he also provided art for some episodes of Enzo Biagi's ''History of Italy in Comics''. In the 1980s he started to collaborate for Sergio Bonelli Editore, Italy's most important comics publisher. Comic Book
A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. "Comic Cuts" was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by "Ally Sloper's Half Holiday" (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. Luciano Secchi
Max Bunker, pen name of Luciano Massimiliano Secchi (born 24 August 1939), is an Italian comic book writer, and publisher, best known as the co-author of '' Alan Ford''. Bunker's career started in 1960 when he co-founded, together with his brother in law Andrea Corno, a publishing house focused on the production of comics called Editoriale Corno. In 1962 Bunker wrote a Western-style comic book, ''Maschera Nera'' (''Black Mask''). He went on to create more comics series in collaboration with Magnus (Roberto Raviola) such as '' Kriminal'' and ''Satanik'' and '' Maxmagnus''. Bunker and Magnus' arguably most successful creative endeavour is ''Alan Ford''. Originally published in May 1969, the series ran for 75 issues. ''Eureka'' was a monthly comic magazine published in Italy from 1967 to 1989. History and profile ''Eureka'' was founded in 1967 by Luciano Secchi, who also served as editorial director for 222 of the first 240 issues. It was the second Italian magazine following '' linus'' entirely devoted to comics, but differently from ''linus'' it avoided any intellectualism and any political stance. Enzo Biagi
Enzo Biagi (; 9 August 1920 – 6 November 2007) was an Italian journalist, writer and former partisan. Life and career Biagi was born in Lizzano in Belvedere, and began his career as a journalist in Bologna. In 1952, he worked on the screenplay of the historical film '' Red Shirts''. In 1953, he became the editor-in-chief of '' Epoca'' magazine. Sergio Bonelli Editore (formerly CEPIM and other names) is a publishing house of Italian comics founded in 1940 by Gian Luigi Bonelli (1908–2001). It takes its name from its former president, comic book writer Sergio Bonelli (1932–2011), son of Gian Luigi. The company popularized the comic book format that became known as ''Bonelliano''. These comic books presented complete stories in 98 black-and-white pages in a pocket book format. The subject matter was always adventure, whether Western, horror, mystery, or science fiction.
