''Alcanzar una estrella II'' (English title: ''To reach a star II'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Luis de Llano Macedo for Televisa in 1991. It is the sequel to '' Alcanzar una estrella''. Sasha Sokol, Ricky Martin, Angélica Rivera, Erik Rubín, Bibi Gaytan and Pedro Fernández starred as protagonists, while José Alonso, Silvia Pasquel and Eduardo Palomo starred as antagonists. Eduardo Capetillo and Mariana Garza starred as special participation. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Daniel Martín (12 May 1935 – 28 September 2009) was a Spanish actor. He was known for his role as Rafael in the film ''Los Tarantos'' (1963), directed by Francisco Rovira Beleta and starring Antonio Gades and Carmen Amaya. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at 36th edition. Eduardo Estrada Palomo (; (Mexico City; May 13, 1962 – Los Angeles; † November 6, 2003) was a Mexican actor. Palomo became famous across Mexico and Latin America after his 1993 characterization of ''Juan del Diablo'' in '' Corazón salvaje'' (1993-1994). Sylvia Pasquel (born Silvia Banquells Pinal, 13 October 1949) is a Mexican actress.
