Albino Giovanni Gomes (born 7 February 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for I-League club Churchill Brothers. Club career Early life and youth career Born in Goa, India, Albino began playing football at the age of 12. He played as a striker but later became a goalkeeper due to his height advantage. Albino began his youth career in Sporting Clube de Goa before moving to Salgaocar. Salgaocar Gomes was promoted to the Salgaocar first-team in before the 2012–13 season. He was included in the squad and was benched in the I-League match against Shillong Lajong on 9 February 2013. Mumbai City On 10 July 2015, during the 2015 Indian Super League draft, Gomes was picked by Mumbai City FC as their final pick in the draft. 2021 Durand Cup
The 2021 Durand Cup is the 130th edition of Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia. Like its previous edition, the tournament was hosted in West Bengal, instead of its traditional venue, Delhi. The tournament is jointly hosted by the Eastern Command of the Indian Armed Forces and the Government of West Bengal. The Durand Cup was cancelled in 2020 due to worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and was reorganised in 2021 after a year gap. The 2019–20 Indian Super League season was the sixth season of the Indian Super League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues. The regular season began on 20 October 2019 and concluded on 14 March 2020. Hyderabad replaced the disbanded Pune City, whereas Delhi Dynamos moved to Bhubaneswar and rebranded as Odisha. Bengaluru were the defending champions, having won their maiden Indian Super League title by defeating Goa 1–0 in the 2018–19 final. However, both teams were knocked out in the semi-finals, with Bengaluru losing 3–2 on aggregate to ATK and Goa losing 6–5 on aggregate to Chennaiyin. The 2017–18 ISL Players Draft was a players draft conducted by the Indian Super League on 23 July 2017. Format Regulations for the 2017–18 Indian Super League season allow for each club to have a minimum of 15 Indian players and a maximum of 18, which include two mandatory under-21 players.
